Windows Update error 0x80072EE2

Question

Hello,
After struggling with this error, I believe I've found a solution!
I had tried all the solutions proposed here and there... called the Microsoft hotline... so I spent some money... to find the solution!
It was the firewall on my Wi-Fi modem that was blocking the connection!
Keep that in mind too!

Hello,  Start --> Run --> cmd  command: ipconfig /flushdns  It solved the problem for me...

Personally, I also have an issue with this same error code. What's funny is that I have 2 computers connected to a DlinkDI-624+ router.

The first one updates without any issues for Windows Update and Windows Defender.

The second one was also working fine, I haven't touched it for 11 days, I turn it back on and now it shows error 0c80072ee2!!!

And when I connect it directly to my Freebox, it works; I don't understand and it's really pissing me off!!!!

Help!!!!

When you try to perform a Windows Update and it displays [Error number: 0x80072EE2, there is a connection problem, try modifying the firewall.

After formatting and after doing the latest updates for Windows and Office, I still had the same problem.

After disabling the firewall, everything is fine, and even after reactivating the firewall, everything is fine.

It took 2 minutes to search on Google, if I had known 4 hours ago, I wouldn't have reformatted, I had just finished the installation.

For those who don't know how, next to the time at the bottom right of the screen, the antivirus - firewall should be there, very often you just need to right-click and disable it.
