Hello,
I would like to know how to read mini DVD-RWs from camcorders
on standalone DVD players or others.

    Bonjour, je veux savoir comment lire un DVD-RW 1,4 Go mini 8 cm Sony sur un Packard Bell (Windows Vista), sachant qu'il est finalisé.
    À chaque fois que je l'allume, il affiche "La lecture Windows Media ne peut pas le lire".

    8 centimeter discs?
    They should normally fit into the drive. This isn't the case for all of them, but in principle, you should have a slot for the 8cm.

      Thank you for your reply,
      actually, it is about the disk reading on the home cinema DVD player and a message displays "No disc" on the player, and on the computer, nothing appears and a message says "please insert a CD"

    Bonjour ou bonsoir, j'ai besoin d'une aide. Mon problème est le suivant : j'ai acheté un caméscope Sony DCR-DVD406 et des disques de la même marque (DVD-RW 1.4 Go 2x). Cependant, les disques ne se lisent que sur le caméscope ! Quand je les insère dans mon PC (AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 2.17 GHz avec lecteur DVD), le disque apparaît comme vierge. J'ai installé le programme qui m'a été fourni avec le caméscope pour extraire les données, mais sans résultat ! Le disque n'est pas compatible. J'ai donc cherché et j'ai constaté que c'était le problème de beaucoup de personnes. J'ai mis un disque dans le lecteur DVD et le DivX, mais le disque s'éjecte et un message s'inscrit à l'écran : DVD-RW VR. Voilà, j'espère qu'à travers ce temps, la solution a été trouvée et j'attends avec impatience une réponse de votre part, si possible avec une bonne nouvelle. Merci !

      HELLO TYGER, I had a similar problem with DVD-310E. I forgot to finalize them.
      The DVD-RW must be finalized to be read on all devices.
      Since then, I can read them on my computer.
      I use Nero for transfer, but DVD-RW is easier.
      It doesn't mean it works for you!

    foot16, Hello, I have a Sony HDR-UX3, which records on 8mm DVDs without any problem in mpeg2. 1) First, you need to format the DVD in SD HQ format, make your movie, no need to finalize it, insert it into the PC's drive, then open the software provided with the camcorder called "Importing Multimedia Files", and follow the given instructions. Generally, the import takes place in "My Pictures" in a folder dated for that day. Hope it works, best regards.
