I can receive emails but can no longer send them. Solved/Closed

Hello,
for the past three days I can receive emails but cannot send any.
I uninstalled Outlook Express to install Mozilla Thunderbird after noticing the problem;
but nothing works, I can't send emails from Mozilla and whenever I try to use my Hotmail address or directly go through Free's webmail, only messages without attachments go through.
If anyone sees what's going on, could they guide me?

Hello, I struggled for my part but I eventually found my problem. I hope my solution can help you…
I specify that I am on Windows 7 and that I transferred all my Outlook data to Windows Live Mail. Yes, it's possible even the groups! :-)
My problem was that I was receiving my emails perfectly but unable to send any.

You open Windows Live Mail, go to "Options" then "Email Accounts", click on the account in question, then on "Properties," then on "Servers". At the bottom, you need to check "My server requires authentication." Don't forget to click on "Apply" and there you go!

Following a software security update (Mac OS 10.5.8), after restarting the computer, it was impossible to send emails using the Mail application... I could send them through Entourage... The operator is not to blame then! I opened Mail Preferences, didn't change anything, closed it, reopened it, tried to send again... And after a good half hour, the messages went through!!! I didn't understand anything except that Mail had a little crisis after the security update... Good luck and patience!

If the email account was already set up with another provider (SFR or another), you need to change the outgoing server (SMTP) in the email settings (account options) to smtp.free.fr; this should resolve the sending issue.

And I figured it out by myself, I had installed Silverlight.
I uninstalled Silverlight and Hotmail works again (I installed it a second time and it bugs, so it was indeed Silverlight, there you go.

use custom port 587, check SSL, authentication: password
username: email address

Hello, I had the same problem. Overnight, Incredimail cleaned up my messages by itself and I could no longer send any messages. I deleted my account in TOOLS, EMAIL ACCOUNT and then recreated it and now it sends without any issues.
