Speech Recognition Under Thunderbird

Hello,

After a skiing accident, I temporarily lost the use of one hand.
Working on a computer, voice recognition is a great help to me.

But I have a problem with Thunderbird:
If I reply to an email, and that email contains the word "bonjour," when I say "bonjour," the word "bonjour" already in the message gets highlighted and numbered.
It is impossible to insert the word "bonjour" without typing it manually.

Apparently, voice recognition searches the page for the word that is pronounced. If it exists, the word gets highlighted. If there are multiple occurrences, the highlights are numbered.

This feature is also active in the Firefox window. For example, if I reply to a forum message and say the word "Télécharger," voice recognition selects the word "Télécharger" from the menu. By the way, I had to type this word manually in the present message.

How can I disable this feature?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.15

To the attention of the mod: You moved my message to the messaging/chat category.
This is a mistake. My issue concerns the use of voice recognition, and not Thunderbird. Thunderbird was used as an example to illustrate my problem. My request was better suited for the Windows category.
