J'ai bien essayé la manipulation décrite mais je me retrouve toujours devant l'écran noir au démarrage et le tiret.
Le Grub est bien là, il est, normalement, bien configuré puisqu'il prend mes différentes OS mais il ne se lance pas.
Le problème peut-il venir d'ailleurs ?

Aucun OS ne se lance ou certains fonctionnent ?
Tu as bien lancé la commande update-grub dans un chroot ?
Que contient /mnt/linux/boot/grub/grub.cfg (en dehors du chroot) ?

Est-ce qu'au moins au démarrage grub s'affiche ? Si oui l'as tu installé sur le MBR du disque sur lequel ton PC amorce ?

Dans le doute mets le sur tous les MBR :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc

Le grub ne s'affiche même pas lors du démarrage (même si j'appuie sur SHIFT ou une autre touche)

Hum ça veut dire qu'il ne l'installe pas dans le MBR lu au démarrage. Normalement avec la commande précédente :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc

... il est sensé te demander sur quelle(s) en-tête(s) il faut l'installer. Dans le doute coche tout. Puis

sudo update-grub

J'ai bien essayé cette manip, mais il bloque lors de l'installation de Grub sur sda3 ou 5 comme ce sont des partitions.

Il y a un message d'erreur ? Au pire si ça ne marche pas avec grub-pc, essaye de voir si ça se passe mieux avec grub-legacy.

Je vous prie de m'excuser pour le temps de réponse, je testais différentes solutions (grub-legacy, lilo, le boot manager de freebsd, le boot de windows, ...) et rien n'y fait.
Donc tant pis je vais continuer à faire du "bricolage" en démarrant grâce a supergrub disk.

À tout hasard :
- installer Grub sur la partition Linux (et non sur le MBR)
- utiliser GAG (s'installera sur le MBR) :

Alors, certes, cela fera 2 bootloaders qui se suivront au démarrage...
Un pis-aller si rien d'autre ne fonctionne.

Merci pour ta réponse, je viens seulement de voir le message. J'ai eu des problèmes de connexions et ai été pas mal occupé. De plus, j'avoue que j'ai un peu abandonné pour la résolution de ce problème.

J'avais déjà testé de mettre le GRUB sur la partition mais à chaque fois je rencontre un message d'erreur. Je vais quand même tester avec GAG si j'arrive à faire quelque chose.
