they will ask you for information about your account and normally they will unblock it within 24 hours.

You will be sent a code to a backup address
You have to wait a bit, but after 5 or 10 minutes it should be good.
Then, you will probably need to do the process 2 or 3 times
Once you reach the page to reset your password, you will be asked for the old one (which you can't log in to?!), anyway, enter the new one you just created, then change it again on the next 2 lines to another new password
And it should work.

After a week and a half of being blocked by Hotmail, my account is now unlocked.

At first, there was another backup address that was blocked, but I also had another address that was not blocked. I could only send the code to the blocked address, but to my surprise this morning, I noticed that I could send the code to the other address that was not blocked. I entered the code, changed the password, my Hotmail account is unlocked, everything is there, nothing has been deleted, I have all my contacts since I registered on Hotmail in 2006; this is the first time this has happened to me and I hope it’s the last.

For me, everything went back to normal last night, after two days, without doing anything. I was explained that it was apparently the automatic anti-spam filters of Hotmail that were blocking it; I know that my email is infected, so I'm willing to believe it. Thank you all for your help, in any case!

If it can help some, I managed to reset my password by changing browsers;
I had the same issue with my inbox where I couldn't reset my password while connected with Mozilla.
By trying again with Internet Explorer, I was able to reset my password and I can again log in to my email.

My account has also been blocked, I was scared because the recovery address no longer works and it's impossible to replace it with another one since you have to confirm from that address.

I filled out the questionnaire twice, luckily for me, I have Windows Live installed on my computer so I had access to the last emails I had sent before the block, and I was able to provide very precise information and it was finally unblocked, I received an email at a Gmail address.

I think I will create a new email address with valid recovery addresses, make sure to have several email addresses, at least one that is not on Hotmail because if one address is blocked, it's impossible to log in from another Hotmail account as it redirects to the infamous "your account is blocked" page, and save your contacts everywhere just in case. If you can install Windows Live on your computer, do it as it can help you provide maximum information.
