No connection between the SNES and the TV

Hello,

Hello,

I just bought a used Super Nintendo and did my first game on my LG plasma screen... excellent!!!
But..
After turning off the console to go to the shops, here it is that it no longer works: I turn it on, but there is no connection between the Super Nintendo and the flat screen anymore. The latter is plugged in in parallel with the DVD and the console (because it has two outputs) and neither works.

Could someone tell me where the problem comes from and how to fix it?!
Thanks to you all!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

    Good evening,

The contacts are probably oxidized on the switch, or sometimes it’s the cartridge that has this problem. When you turn it off, the SNES does not release the cartridge. If on the first power-on the display does not appear, cut the power off and then turn it back on, keeping the button pressed all the way until the display appears.

I just did that and still nothing.. moreover, I have a small CRT TV and just plugged the console in to test whether it was the console itself or the flat screen.. Even on the small TV, it doesn't work.
It's still weird, it worked perfectly on the very first power-on. But since then zero connection with the Super Nintendo and zero connection with the DVD player..

You have confirmed that the correct video input is selected on the TV. Test as well with another game cartridge.

yes yes I tested with three different games. As for the correct input, my TV offers AV1, AV2, and HDMI. So yes I suppose I selected the right input since the SCART is plugged into AV1.
Anyway, the first time I tested the console, the game started automatically without me touching anything.

Unplug the power supply from the mains and switch the breaker to ON for one minute, then switch the breaker back to OFF and plug the power supply back in.

Best of the best!! With this method, the game starts but...: I have the image of the green "R" that lights up with the Super Nintendo logo and the sound of the game Donkey Kong.. but no image afterwards!!

So it's probably the inter contact points that are oxidized, and probably on the cartridge port as well, and for that you need to clean them with a special contact spray can that you can find at any good electronics component reseller, with the case open for the switch and with no power connected.

ok ok! last questions: since I don’t know much, who’s a good electronics components reseller for example? (fnac? darty?) and cleaning with the case open means opening the console entirely?

Thanks in any case for all this information!!
