Fichier Word converti en WordPad : au secours !

Help!

I have a PC equipped with Microsoft Office 2003, including Word. Everything was fine until this morning when, even though I can open and work on Word, all my Word documents are opening with WordPad!!! It's impossible to see the inserted images...
What should I do?

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.13

    Hello,

    You just need to change the default application by right-clicking on a Word file and going to the little section open with and clicking on Choose the default program then selecting Microsoft Word in the window that appears and checking the box Always use this program....
    And you will be able to open all your documents with Word.

      select a .doc file (wordpad logo)
      right click
      select "choose a program" --> left click
      select "Word"
      and in the same menu check the box "always use this program to open this type of file" --> confirm
      Normally the "wordpad" logos will change to "word" logos and can be opened directly with Word.
