Ovi Store Nokia N8

I HAVE THE SOLUTION:

I have a Nokia N8 and the same, Ovi was connecting without any problem and since I connected the Wi-Fi, I can no longer access it, connection impossible.

You need to set your operator's access point as access point 1 and the Wi-Fi as access point 2.

Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Settings>Destinations>Internet>long press on one of the two access points, a small tab will appear:
-Rename
-Delete
-Change priority
-etc

Select CHANGE PRIORITY so that your operator's access point is 1 and the Wi-Fi is 2.

There you go, for me it had not worked for a few days and since I did this, it works perfectly. I can access all Ovi services from my mobile without any problem.

PS: Also remember to confirm your Ovi account via your email] Ovi (connection via PC) on Ovi Messaging.

Same for me, nothing seems compatible on the Ovi
Ovi Store I have access to some useless crap, but otherwise no sync possible. And for the commentator, I don't have a box, and I don't see why it would make a difference whether it's via Wi-Fi or cable? We're always using the same connection!

Hello, I had your two problems at the same time and I managed to solve the issue that even an SFR store couldn't resolve.

You need to do two things:
1. Create a Nokia account on nokia.fr in the My Nokia section.
2. Create an access point in the WAP service as this is what Ovi Store uses as a network.
Go to Menu / Settings / Connectivity / Settings / Destinations / Internet.
Press and hold on the connection that is priority 1.
Choose Copy to another folder.
Choose WAP.
There you go, try Ovi Store.

So nonodu82 I tried what you said, which seemed quite logical to me but nothing works!!!!!!!! Every time I try to download it, it says corrupted file!!! I tried 10 minutes ago with my dad's phone (an N8 too) and it worked perfectly even though I didn't do anything different!

I had the same issue, I disconnected my Ovi account and restarted Ovi
re-downloaded it and it's all good!!!

I also have a problem with my N8, every time I want to download an application.

Let me explain: it always says "Download Error" even though I've only had my phone for 4 days and I've only downloaded 4 applications since that day, the rest being failures...

Moreover, I just tried using Ovi Suite installed on my computer, and I attempted to install the applications "Galaxy on Fire" and "Golf 2011" offered by Ovi Suite. But it immediately gives me an error message. It seems that my N8 no longer accepts applications?

I bought a Nokia N8 for 249 Euros on 12/16/2010 as part of a 24-month contract renewal, no issues until 01/28/2011 when my N8 displayed "insert SIM card."
I tried my wife's SIM card, the phone worked for 2 minutes then the same message "insert SIM card".... So I called customer service who advised me to drop off my N8 at an SFR store for repair.
I dropped off the phone on 01/28/2011.
I picked up my N8 today on 02/10/2011 and the SURPRISE: the phone was returned to me still broken, accompanied by the report from the authorized Nokia repair center: PRODUCT DECLARATION IRREPAIRABLE "Intervention not feasible, as replacing the damaged components would compromise the terminal's performance."
"As expressly stated in the warranty contract, this anomaly constitutes an exclusion from the warranty."
Fault diagnosed by the technician:
Power problem
Software/application issue
Work performed:
Irreparable; returned as is
Warranty rejection reason: Damaged circuit board
I don't know what to do anymore; I lost 249 euros, I am stuck for 24 months, I have no loyalty points, basically I’m stuck....
