Setting up HP Photosmart B110 WIFI printer

Hello,

I recently bought a HP Photosmart B110a printer. I managed to get it recognized by the Livebox, so I can print remotely via email, but I can't scan, and when I print traditionally, I get a multitude of pages with lines of code printed...
Moreover, every time I turn the printer back on, I have to redo the Wi-Fi recognition procedure by re-entering the WEP key...
Could you please tell me how to install my printer?

Thank you

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 8.0

    Hello
I found out how to scan on Mac 10.6 with HP all-in-one printer HP B110a
    go to Mac preferences
    go to printers and faxes
click on options and supplies then
    view the printer's web page
at the top of the page there are tabs home, scan..
and there you go, you had to know that, it's not written anywhere, thanks HP
    I found it by chance

Thanks for the useful info. It's also valid on PC. You just need to know the IP address.

I just bought an iMac and HP B110 and it's a hellish couple.
My WIFI key is well memorized but the connection disappears after about 1 minute!
So to scan or print, I had to hurry.
Orange explained to me how to access the printer's IP settings by typing:
http:// followed by the printer's IP address.
This allows access to the HP printer menu and to switch to manual IP configuration.
Now printing works all the time but there's still no way to use the scanner for more than a minute. The "on" - "off" is still mandatory.

    Not very professional HP!!!!!

same configuration (iMac and Livebox) and the same issue, the Wi-Fi printer disconnects after 2 minutes.
However, I did not understand the procedure to follow. I can access the printer's address through the browser, but what should I do next?

The HP B110a is simply a big piece of junk and HP doesn't care, it's a shame; even via USB the installation CD "doesn't respond" then uninstalls everything grrrrr; Thank you "HP TOTAL DONT CARE"; in short, I have a nice ultra-slow photocopier!

    Hello everyone,
Like many, I have encountered the issue of having to re-enter the Wifi key every time I turn on my printer. I contacted HP support, here is the response (and it works!): "If I understood your description correctly, every time you restart the printer, it asks you to enter the wifi activation code.
I therefore invite you to ignore this message (that is, respond with no) and then proceed to the configuration (SETUP) to select "Wireless Setup Wizard" and then continue the setup."

I hope this information will be useful to you!

    Hello,
I regret this purchase regularly; I have to reinstall the printer, and scanning via Wi-Fi is mission impossible. The response is to scan from the computer or display a document. I have also uninstall and reinstalled everything by downloading the software from the HP website.
I switched it back to USB and then back to wireless X times, and I have a stack of test sheets that say everything is fine.
Error message from the computer that refuses to recognize this printer, and yet it works fine via USB.
If you need to buy a printer, do not choose this one.

Totally agree. A power outage and everything needs to be reinstalled. Hello!

I was disgusted by HP too
I connected it to my Livebox. But it's too complicated for me!
With my master's in computer science, I'm not at that level!

    Hello
I have the same problem but I don't need to reinstall everything. In fact, I delete the printer and then add it back: the installation happens automatically...
That said, I don't find that normal at all

    Hello
The simplest way I've found to scan is to use Windows Fax and Scan. However, I've installed and uninstalled it multiple times and nothing works; regularly, I can only re-enter the WAP code. I changed my printer, just to put it in a closet and use the WIFI, and well, it totally failed! And HP is obviously aware but does nothing, so what’s for sure is that the next one won't be an HP.
