Hello,

since I used CCleaner, Trayapp won't leave me alone :'( !! software that doesn't work anymore and a message that keeps popping up every time I start up... !! Trayapp is asking me to find the folder but then tells me it's not found and gets stuck at the end... and it keeps happening :@ ! I was told this is a problem related to the HP 3-in-1 printer (which is installed on my PC but is incompatible with Vista :@! I installed it from a link on the HP website) I was advised to restart the PC with the printer CD and the problem would go away but nothing happens, the Trayapp file is on the CD but the PC tells me the file is corrupted or something like that :'( !) I don't know what to do anymore PLEASE HELP ME.

Hello,

Go to start, all programs, accessories, right-click on run, choose run as administrator and confirm, type: msconfig and OK. Startup tab, uncheck everything related to HP, except for the antivirus, internet connection and firewall if you have installed one, apply and OK. Restart and see what happens.

!!!! I did what you told me and now instead of trayapp, Destinations is launching instead :/ !!!! In the end, it tells me to use source: C:\Users\fatma\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS21BA\setup\Destinations\ I click on browse and open the file (it's empty), I click on open and then I get an error: destination.msi file not found. Check the file name and try again! :/ :/

Disconnect the printer from the computer. Insert the CD into the drive, click on uninstall or uninstall all HP products......

the CD is useless :( it's incompatible with Vista I can't install or uninstall the software with it! I'm going to try uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH !!!! FINALLY !!!! we killed that trayapp :D !! thank you thank you thank youuuuuuuuuuuu for the time you gave me :)))
I uninstalled it with Revo Uninstaller and restarted, and everything is back to normal :)

Thank you for the link, but I've already tried that xD! The thing that's driving me crazy is that I completely uninstalled the printer from the control panel and that message still doesn't go away! Worse yet, right at this moment while I'm writing to you, my PC is asking me to update for HP xD! I've tried everything with this horror, I've even restored my system :/ ...

Open CCleaner as an administrator, options, advanced, uncheck: delete only Windows temporary files......, then run it for a proper clean in Windows, applications, and the registry.

Ok, I'm going to reinstall CCleaner and try that! Because CCleaner hasn't been working since it messed everything up xD (and it's not the only one, half of my software won't launch anymore).

Download and install --> windows installer cleanup.

Then, go to start, all programs, right-click on windows installer cleanup, choose run as administrator and confirm, select one by one everything related to the HP printer and remove.

Start CCleaner again to clean and restart.

Perform a system restore and choose a date before the problem occurred, that is, before using CCleaner.

hhhh I thought about doing that too but I've made so many changes that all the dates are recent :( !!
Is there a way to access an older date (from last month for example) because it only shows me 5 days :/

the limit it shows me is 5 days since the 29 :/ and the problem appeared before that date :/
.. thank you very much for the help! we tried everything I might have to reinstall the printer .. or format it once and for all. otherwise, I keep looking :)

Go to: C:\Users\fatma\AppData\Local\Temp, delete the folder 7zS21BA.
Also check if you have uninstalled everything regarding the printer. You can uninstall with --> revo-uninstaller.

I don't have a folder 7zS21BA in C:\Users\fatma\AppData\Local\Temp.

Empty all the content in the temp file.
Try to uninstall everything, including the printer with --> revo-uninstaller.

I checked with Revo Uninstaller and the printer is not present on the PC! Neither in the control panel nor in this software.

Yes, it's always the same message that pops up at startup and I can only remove it by pressing ctrl+alt+del

if I click on browse it opens my documents, I click again on open and it shows me:
trayapp.msi
file not found.
check the file name and try again
if I click ok everything I just mentioned happens again!!! it goes in a loop and only stops if I press ctrl+alt+del
(note: I checked hp at startup from msconfig because it comes to the same thing)

Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, see if there is a service related to HP, either printer, update, etc... double-click, set it to disabled or manual in Startup type, apply and OK.

o_O !! Even with that, it still shows up at startup :/ that thing is strong!! It could be a virus!

How many services were there and which ones?
Stop the services and see what happens.

If the problem persists, reinstall the printer.
Also, what is the brand of the printer?

only one concerning hp: hpqcxs08 the startup type is manual from the beginning, I haven't changed it! I stopped it twice and restarted the pc and nothing happens
each time it restarts by itself! even in the service its state is active again once I've restarted

When you stopped the service, did you make sure to click on --> apply afterwards?

Unfortunately, I haven't managed to get rid of trayapp!! I reinstalled the printer through this link, and trayapp still launches at startup! Now it asks me to insert the CD to search for trayapp. I find it and click on it, and it shows me another error and asks me to reinstall the program, and it's just going in circles as usual :/ ... The printer icons on the desktop do not respond, and it closes when I try to open them! The scanner doesn't work, but when I write something in Word and want to print it, it works o_O..!
