TRAYAPP(*.msi) Solved

Question

I have a message since yesterday informing me of an error regarding trayApp.. insert cd
install package1 (*.msi)
I went on Windows and other sites to try to find a solution, but no one is responding on the forums and I see that I am not the only one experiencing this problem.

I don't know what this program
or this application corresponds to since .msi is an application or a key, right?
Anyway, I'm lost...
Can we remove this key without risk?

I'm giving you the info because I finally found it all by myself like a big girl

tray app is a program associated with any installation of printers or photocopier scanners or HP fax machines
(as for me, I just bought the "all-in-one" and after cleaning my registries I accidentally deleted a key I shouldn't have

so just in case, I inserted the installation cd (after many trials with various installation cds ...) and there with the HP cd it worked

there you go
if it interests someone, just insert your HP hardware installation cd and it will be done ....

Oops... sorry... I just received a new message about this trayApp I'm being asked to insert the CD because the source is invalid and Windows Installer cannot continue its "work"... error 1706 in English, it says: "insert the trayapp cd " then "error 1706 no valid source could be found for the product trayapp. Windows Installer cannot continue"  Is trayapp a program??  :-(

but well, I managed to fix it; I still ended up finishing at five in the morning. So I searched for an HP software update, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled everything, and it works.

To clean up a program or software that was poorly removed, you can use the software RegCleaner or RegSeeker, which are very good but should be used cautiously ;.))

Aside from that... lol, do you happen to have a tip to unlock Hotmail??? Sniff
I've been stuck on this for ages and I don't know how to unlock Hotmail to read my emails on Hotmail... I've installed Netscape and Mozilla to access these servers; it works that way, but through MSN Hotmail, it keeps blocking again and again

There are two ways to get rid of this problem: TrayAap is linked to the HP Image Zone software = HP driver pre-installation software such as HP printer, HP camera, HP scanner... The first one is if you do not have any HP drivers connected to your computer, this program is therefore useless and you just need to go to the control panel and uninstall the HP Image Zone program (which is also called hpdtra08.exe in processes) and the problem will disappear, cool right?... However, if you have an HP driver (camera, printer or other HP), you just need to put your driver installation CD back into the computer and browse the CD to find the TrayAap application... and there you go.. good luck xxx

I had the same issue
but I managed to solve it and I no longer receive this message
I simply started by installing RegCure and then clicked on Scan, Setting......
after that, I installed Spyware Doctor
since then, I haven't received this Tray App message
Ps: also uninstall the HP printer driver if you have one

Good evening ^^  Having the same problem as my colleagues, I wanted to try your technique ^^' But the problem is that I no longer have that CD.... I must have lost it... Problems with trayapp, I understand that to solve the problem I need to reinstall my HP printer CD, but I don't have it anymore, what can I do (plus I have end-of-year work to print for Wednesday... and no USB key...!)  Moreover, in "programs and features" I have several titles including HP: -HP Customer Participation Program 7.0  -HP Imaging Device Functions 7.0  -HP Photosmart Essentials  -HP Software Update  -HP Solutions Center 7.0  So I don't know which one to delete, basically I'm lost and I've been looking for a solution for 2 days  Please help me!

Hello, after a technician tried to remove the TrayApp, it came back. I noticed that I recently bought an all-in-one from HP. The problem comes from the installation of the software; you have to install everything they say. As I didn't have the HP printer CD and had an all-in-one Epson, I followed what FRO recommended on March 16, 2006 namely: to delete HP Image Zone actually, instead of deleting the entire program, Windows automatically and simply removed the unnecessary files and the TrayApp issue was resolved. Hello,  I have the same problem as you. I no longer have the installation CD because I no longer have an HP printer. I also did a search but I couldn't find the trayapp software so I couldn't delete it. I also looked for the hp imagine zone program (as fro suggested) but couldn't find that either. It's been 3 years since I first received this annoying message and I fixed it right away. Since I rarely visit forums, I didn't see that others had this problem. One piece of advice: clean your registries without issue but  ALWAYS UNCHECK THE HEWLETT PACKARD BOXES  and the problem won't come back.

Download, if you don't have the installation CD, the software for your HP printer, then install it by overwriting the old one. It resolved the issue for me. Good evening.
