Hello, so here it is, for a few days I've been having a problem and I can't burn anything anymore. Of course, I've looked everywhere online and even asked my neighbor, who works in IT, but nothing works. I have this issue preventing me from burning, it's often the error 0xC0AA0301. So I tried plenty of solutions to fix it. I've tried burning with the Windows 7 software, PowerISO, Alcohol 120%, and ImgBurn, always the same problem. Then I tried deleting the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1...-08002BE10318}", deleting the driver and the burner from my PC so that it would reinstall when I restart. You might ask if I looked for a firmware update, yes of course, but there isn't a more recent one. I have no space left on my PC and no free hard drive; otherwise, I would have backed everything up to an external hard drive and reinstalled the PC to avoid any hassle, but unfortunately, I can't do that at the moment while waiting to get a new hard drive. Otherwise, to be precise, I want to burn software and games ^^
If we find a solution to my problem, I would be happy because I'm quite good with computers myself, but I'm completely stuck on this issue. So if I could get the opinion of an expert, I would be willing to try anything, thank you and have a good evening :)

I created the ISO, it's just that on the DVD it showed 3.5G instead of 4.7G, so I thought it was a bug, but I decided to try anyway. It's not a big deal, I just wanted to see if it would work. I just put several DVDs in, and it seems to be fixed, it's showing 4.37 (4,700,372,992 bytes for my DVD+R). Soon I'm going to get dual layer discs to free up space on my main partition for reinstalling. I hope I won't encounter any bugs; I've never used them before, but I checked if my burner could handle them ^^
Anyway, thanks for your advice. Everything is in order with my burner, even though it only burns DVD-R, that's one of my problems solved. I have others, and I think I'm going to create topics soon. But regarding the moving of system files, that's more delicate.

Your PC might be a bit overloaded.
What capacity do you have and how much free space is on the hard drive?
Do you regularly defragment and clean up your disk?
Do you have too many programs running at startup?
Maybe start with that.

No, even though I only have 1GB of RAM, it does it to me with nothing at all, and since then, I've installed a 2TB hard drive and reinstalled the PC.
Yes, I'm even a cleaning maniac when it comes to computers; I've done everything, even error repairs, but nothing works.
Otherwise, no, I control all my startup programs. ^^
I was just responding to the questions, but I tried again the other day, and it showed me even more errors. I asked for advice from a computer sales clerk at Auchan, and he told me that the burner might be dead. Even though I'm aware of the arguments from salespeople just ready to say anything to sell, I really think it must be dead given everything I've done and also because it's nearly 5 years old.
Anyway, I think I can just let it go and buy a new burner. -
If your burner is 5 years old and you have used it often, it's possible.
However, I would do a test by uninstalling the virtual software; sometimes it can create conflicts with the reader-burner.

Yes, I have often seen people having conflict issues with virtual drives, but I have often wondered whether it was necessary to remove the entire software or just uninstall the virtual drives themselves, as I currently have 3 programs on my PC, I think, Daemon Tools Lite, Alcohol 120%, and PowerISO. I will try later by uninstalling them, cleaning the registry, and looking for errors before testing the burning process; however, since I started burning, I have always had software installed ^^

Uninstall all of that to test your burner, that way you'll know.

I'm ready to reinstall my entire PC due to a latency issue for a week, but since I've uninstalled quite a few things, it's not happening anymore. But still, I will redo everything.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I've solved my problem; I uninstalled the software that might interfere, but for burning, I forgot that I needed PowerISO, so I reinstalled it, created my ISO image, tried to burn it, and it still gave error messages. Then I thought, what if I tried with another DVD medium, and it worked. In fact, it was giving me errors with DVD-Rs, even though before I only burned with those, and I can't remember if DVD+Rs worked. Now, I just managed to burn with a DVD+R.
I just checked, my burner is a DVD R Dual Double Layer, so from what I understand, the DVD-R function of my burner is dead, but now DVD+Rs are not causing me any more problems. The only issue is that I used a box of 25 DVD-Rs for my tests, but that's not a big deal.

You're welcome, I just encountered a single bug while doing this test yesterday. The DVD I was normally using is 4.7G, but there was only 3.5G on it. I'm not sure if that's normal because I thought it must have been a bug, so I burned an ISO of 3.9 onto it, and actually, some parts are missing. I still haven't reinstalled my PC; I'm thinking about setting up a dual boot with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, so I haven't checked if it was a bug. Maybe I need to reconfigure something, but since I've never used DVD+R before, I'm not sure.

Did you create the ISO?
If it's a downloaded ISO, it might be incomplete or corrupted.
