Good evening,
I want to buy a laptop, and after doing some research, I came across an offer on the website "Le Bon Coin." I called the seller who asked for payment with “PaySafeCard” worth 400€ (4 cards at 100€ each) and then to give him the codes written on them the next day. I agreed, not knowing this payment method which seemed safe to me. Tonight, as I'm falling asleep (hence the time I'm writing this message), I realize (after a little search online about the cards) that they are used to purchase "credit," for example on online betting sites... it seems to me like a scam.... Does anyone know this payment method? If I give him the codes on the cards, will he be able to access the money virtually on these sites (I'm sure of that after my search)?
Furthermore, it seems suspicious that the laptop is sold almost new for 400€ instead of 800...
Finally, this is the first time I'm asking for help on a forum :)
Thank you in advance,
Marc

It's a payment method that's quite good when you want to make online payments without using a credit card. For example, at my school, you can top up your printing/photocopying credits with it.
But for an online purchase, it's indeed very suspicious, in my opinion.
Online purchases should be done via a bank (credit card, with a unique number if possible) or a PayPal account, or alternatively cash on delivery. And if you're using a Paysafe card, it works like when you make a purchase with a credit card. There is an “official” interface. The seller who offers this payment method must have an agreement with the PaysafeCard company (just like with credit cards).
Otherwise, you might as well send him cash by mail to an anonymous PO box... there's a high chance he’ll take the money and not leave an address.

Yes, no proof of payment, and he can spend his money freely because the PaySafeCard is anonymous...

Don't buy this card, it's a scam, especially when it comes to getting a refund. The crooks use this payment method.
