The PaySafeCard is a prepaid card that you can get at tobacco shops. It's very handy for making online purchases if you don't have a credit card.
Especially for paying for online game subscriptions, because the premium rate numbers end up costing an outrageous amount. (about 3 times more expensive)
It's definitely not a scam; it's actually a good secure method because at worst, you only lose what’s on the card.
To pay with it is simple, you just need to enter the fifteen-digit number on the ticket you bought. You can check how much money you have left by going to the PaySafeCard website.
And a big plus: you can accumulate the tickets, which means that if you only have 10 cents left on one card, it’s not wasted! During your next payment, you enter the number of the 10-cent card, and since it’s not enough, PaySafeCard will offer you to enter the code from another card! Just be careful, it only works on partner sites.
No, I’m not getting paid to advertise, I’m just a satisfied user :)
Right now, I’m looking for a way to add funds to a PayPal account via PaySafeCard; if I find it, I’ll let you know ;)

Bonsoir, I just bought a paysafecard to pay on B-and-You but it doesn't work and I can't find a clothing website where I can pay with the paysafecard that I have left: / really disappointed. Can you tell me if I can transfer it to PayPal??? Thank you.

Merci.

At the same time, if people don't check the sites that accept paysafecard before buying it, it's not a scam... it's simply that people are stupid... when you go abroad, you check if your bank card is valid in that other country, right? Well, it's the same thing here...
Paysafecard is a prepaid card with no commission fees. It's not a scam. Paying with paysafecard is like paying with cash, but done online. You can load the amount of credit you need, and you can't rely on more than the loaded credit. That's it. :)
I can really recommend it to everyone, especially on Skype.

Attention to the PaySafeCard community, we do not refund
To the Customer Service,
After alerting you to a malfunction related to your company and after providing you with all the necessary elements to restore access to the account with an expected amount, and after purchasing a credit card despite this, without any response or possibility to reopen my account without issue, I am giving you a week's notice to change your operations. Unfortunately, I will find myself in the only alternative of reporting you to the internet community, so that everyone can operate healthily in their business, concerning contractual and tortious liability, Article 1442 Article 11 47 of the Civil Code, which remains a small price to pay for the inconvenience, and the deception, whether intentional or not, since I no longer have access to my account, and you are not the only ones failing to adhere to the codes of ethics and respect for one another. The sad observation seems to be general, where trust is hardly possible in this recurring mindset in the world of small scams, in which I hope you do not wish to participate. I therefore ask you to take the necessary steps to avoid entering into this configuration where your employees appear to be far from scrupulous, but know that the sound and tone of their voice will increasingly become obsolete in this configuration, as the consequences are generally elementary, because there are still decent and honest people to employ in the world of economic intelligence. You see, as far as I'm concerned, I am a business owner.
Sincerely
For my part, I reported the fraudulent practices of PaySafeCard to the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). I also informed TV journalists who will cover this scam. In reality, PaySafeCard only works well for scammers (resale of stolen goods) and is also used by ransomware operators.
You can get scammed with a "good" payment method.
Paysafecard preserves the anonymity of the payer... even and especially if they steal the prepaid numbers. How?
Like this:
An item on a site like Le Bon Coin at a very interesting price but not too much, a friendly but not too friendly interlocutor, that's the start of the trap.
At the time of payment, she offers to pay by Paysafecard.
What's that? A thing you buy at the local tobacconist, quite simply.
Then, under the guise of accounting requirements (the lady pretends to be a medical professional or something similar), she asks for the codes of the Paysafecard tickets, stating that without their serial number, they cannot be cashed.
Unfortunately, that's false: once the codes are communicated to your correspondent, the funds are transferred. The serial numbers serve a different purpose (but are useless for you).
If you are a victim:
file a complaint
report the scam at https://www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr/
report it to Le Bon Coin as well: http://www2.leboncoin.fr/support/form/0?id=1
contact Paysafecard and report the scam to them too: http://www.paysafecard.com/fr/aide/formulairedecontact/
I'll reassure you right away: Le Bon Coin and Paysafecard don't care about your problems.
But you should still report it, specifying, if you wish, that you will no longer use their services and that you will give them bad publicity.
How to avoid this:
demand a landline phone number that you will check in the directory and call yourself. Don't rely on the number that appears on your phone if you get a call
demand a confirmation by email with an address from a well-known French operator: just like for the landline phone, you send an email to this address and get a reply. Don't trust the address that appears in your email software if you receive a message
demand a normal payment method: check, bank check, transfer...
prefer to meet in person; in case of shipping, demand a well-known transport method with tracking. Demand the tracking number
In short, always demand methods that leave traces.

I just paid the price for it.
I bought a phone on Le Bon Coin and the person asked me to pay by Paysafecard.
I got scammed out of 100 euros because I made the mistake of giving the ticket code by email.
When I asked Paysafecard how to get my money back, they told me to file a police report and that they would look into it...
I advise everyone against this payment method; it's a big scam.
Now it was a gift for my son and believe me, I'm (as they say) really pissed off...

IT'S A SCAM!!!
I was sold a PAYSAFECARD by a unscrupulous tobacconist instead of a TONEO.
I can't do anything with it. Has nothing to do with Paypal? Impossible to cash it in.
Aside from funding online games (where you're sure to get fleeced), it serves no purpose.
You can only buy AMAZON gift cards.
The refund takes at least 3 weeks, you have to provide a bank account statement, a copy of your ID, a photocopy of the coupon, and almost the only thing missing is your tax return.
Everything has to be sent by email (in PDF) supposedly to a banana republic lost in Africa (given the voice of the customer service guy).
IT ONLY SERVES TO PLAY ONLINE GAMBLING GAMES!!!!
Let's make that clear!

I have no idea what scam you're talking about. I've had good experiences with Paysafecard, even on gaming sites. Precisely because it's a prepaid card, you can't get your money and data stolen. Of course, it's a shame that this card isn't accepted by more sites! It's about time. The fact that you can't get it refunded is not a scam.
Paysafecard is not to blame; you are falling for a scammer. Paysafecard works like phone top-ups. Rest assured, this is far from a scam.
I wanted to share my experience of a scam that I am a victim of involving VIABUY and PAYSAFECARD.
First of all, for those who want to use prepaid cards, be very careful, and make sure to look for the right mentions and information.
I am a VIABUY customer, and I simply wanted to load my VIABUY card via PAYSAFECARD vouchers, which you can buy at tobacco shops.
I would like to specify that on the VIABUY website, it is clearly stated that the amounts purchased through PAYSAFECARD are "IMMEDIATELY" credited to the card, WHICH IS FALSE!
In reality, VIABUY sneakily requires its partner PAYSAFECARD to UPDATER (upgrade its customers to Premium) in order to load the VIABUY card with these vouchers.
In practice, if you buy vouchers to put on your card immediately as they disgracefully specify on their site, you will actually first need to open a Paysafecard account, then send identification documents (passport, ID card, and proof of residence) and wait for your documents to be eligible, so if you were planning to enjoy your money for a weekend by loading on Thursday or Friday, forget that idea, IMPOSSIBLE
As for me, it has been over 10 days that PAYSAFECARD has been stringing me along by email and phone!
I sent, as agreed (and to my great surprise that I need to show white paws to use these vouchers, as it is not stated anywhere!) all my identification documents and proof of residence. 3 days later, yes 3 days!! I receive a response from PAYSAFECARD asking me to explain a difference in postal code between my Orange landline bill and another document (one is a postal box and the other is the postal code) because my business address is the same as my personal address, nothing exceptional!) but anyway, I play the game again, and explain the reasons for this difference, and send back other documents that can attest to it!
2 days later! In the meantime, I specify that I contacted VIABUY by email, anyway it’s the ONLY mode of communication with these people, and NO RESPONSE!!!
So to continue, another 2 days later, new response from PAYSAFECARD (despite my 3 or 4 calls to LONDON!!!) from a service that asks me to send a copy of my bank statements!!!!!! ALL THIS TO USE VOUCHERS BOUGHT AT A TOBACCO SHOP!!! and load my VIABUY card, and for an amount of 300 euros!!
Frustrated, I resend a copy of my bank account opening from my French bank!!
24H later!! New response from this service asking me to please resend these documents in COLOR!! and to resend my Orange landline bill again in color!!!
I am serious and do not exaggerate the reality at all!
It has now been over 10 days that these people are holding my money, and I can’t do anything!
More than frustrated, I send them an email with my bank details for the refund of these 300 euros worth of vouchers. And I follow up by phone to London to expedite the refund...
RESPONSE: as for the refund of my 300 euros, I will have to wait a minimum of 20 more working days and also resend my documents!??!? and this is not a joke... if I am not facing a SCAM here!!!
So think carefully before buying these vouchers and wanting to use them on a VIABUY card!!!!!!
I have kept copies of all my steps and emails and will file a complaint for fraud today!
I don’t understand how companies can block people who are already doing their utmost to get by, and based on this, they supposedly set up systems to help us, which in fact are locked systems and well-oiled to work with our money, I am outraged and do not intend to stop here with them!
If anyone has had the same misadventures, feel free to share your experiences, I have a lawyer specialized in the field who can help me move forward, your testimonies will be useful to my case.

There’s nothing better than Paysafecard cards, and they also have the merit of curbing addiction to gambling, because when your card is emptied of euros, you have to go to the newsagent to get another one, while with a bank card, you’re immediately tempted to play again... A site that offers free cards every day, are you interested? Well, here it is, it's the only one, by the way! https://www.casinosguide.net/information-importante.htm
I go there every day, a 25-euro card is up for grabs :)
Before, I used to take Neosurf cards. The problem with these prepaid cards is that many sites don’t accept them...

Hello,
A piece of advice with paysafcard, do not log into your account from two different IPs, otherwise they will block your account and make you wait for over a month. When you call them, they tell you that the account will be unlocked as soon as possible. Basically, it's a joke.
Just for that, it's best to look elsewhere.

I am on vacation abroad and I logged into my paysafecard account. I credited my account with 10 vouchers of €100 each, and when I tried to load funds using my credit card, my account got blocked. When I contacted their service via the provided email, they asked me to call a toll-free number, which I unfortunately cannot call from abroad. What should I do? Thank you for your help.
I tested this famous card...... It only works with their partners.... So if you need to pay bills like phone, electricity, or place orders on eBay, it's not possible. I requested a refund (170 euros, still) and was told there was a 3-week delay not counting the numerous documents to send back to them... In short, I wasted 2 hours on their site and 170 euros.....
It's not a scam, but it sure looks like one......

If you want to take the Mastercard Paysafecard, there are fees (4%), so always plan for an extra €10.
Because I got caught, I bought something online; I calculated everything (shipping costs + the item) but not the 4% loading fee.
Well, 4% isn't a huge amount, but still.

No, it's not a scam: I went to a tobacconist, I bought a €10 Paysafecard, I entered the 16-digit code into Steam, and I was able to buy a game.. At first, I was skeptical and hesitant for fear of losing my money, but once I knew it worked, I did it again without hesitation: so go for it!!
You can buy them for €10, €25, €50, or €100.
You can buy them for €10, €25, €50, or €100.
I do exactly the same thing; instead of entering my bank information, I rush to the local tobacco shop to buy an Adult PaySafeCard, and I enter the 16-digit code in the account recharge tab on Steam.
It's also good because it allows you to recharge your Steam account with cash or currency.
It's far from being a scam!!
Best regards

What are these comments in favor of Paysafecard? Is it an advertisement for them or what?
No, no, they make money because of the "unclaimed" funds as they block the registration of certain accounts without us knowing why. If you are the lucky one, good for you. But for the others, it's truly a scam.

I'm not stupid, I know that paysafecard reserves the right to charge €2/month from a paysafecard one year after its purchase. That's why as soon as I buy a paysafecard, I transfer the ENTIRE amount from the paysafecard to my Steam wallet. At least I don't have any problems with any validity period and I never lose money!!
If people come crying on CCM screaming "SCAM", they should have done a bit of research on the https://www.paysafecard.com/fr-fr/ website before buying one!!!
And NO!! This is not advertising I'm doing but rather a testimony based on my personal experience since using this payment method. It's true that there will always be gullible people who get scammed by false ads and scams.
Honestly, tell me what is worse: a person who sends their bank details by email or a person who sends their paysafecard code by email? Stupidity and naivety are present in both cases unfortunately.
If paysafecard is a scam, then MasterCard, carte bleue, checks, and cash are scams as well.
A scammer does NOT STEAL from the victim but rather manipulates the victim to willingly give them money... Until they realize it's already too late.
Just because a person has been scammed with a payment method does not mean that payment method is necessarily a scam!!! You can't confuse everything!!

By saying unclaimed, I mean non "usable for some silly internal reason from PaySafeCard".
1- You are completely in compliance in every way, you purchase a card for €75 for an online game.
2- To use that €75 you need to register with PaySafeCard, but at that point, the process gets stuck.
3- The helpline asks you to send scanned documents: ID card, passport, driver's license, proof of residence, mobile number verification...
4- And despite all these documents, 10 days later, you still have nothing; the telephone helpline responds that the relevant service has indeed received the documents but does not say why it’s blocked.
I’m not going to fight for €75, I’m going to let it go, as a multitude of people do, and that’s where the scam lies. It’s enough for them to block a certain number of accounts for some silly reason, and they recover colossal sums without any risk.

Attention it's a TOTAL scam. I just lost €75 because of paysafecard, it looks like a scam. On 08/01/2015, I purchased a paysafecard for €75. To use it, I'm asked to identify myself in their system (a registration). Then nothing, it doesn't work. I then contact the "Helpline," and I'm asked for my mobile number, to scan my ID documents, proof of residency, a driver's license, and I'm asked a ton of questions about my private life. And a week later NOTHING, I call, and I'm told it's under verification...
Follow my example: use paysafecard and lose your money!

All the people who say they are scammed by paysafecard don't know how to use it
I use paysafecard for online games like Dofus, Steam, LoL, etc., even to buy games I've never lost anything
So before saying it's a scam, check the site in question, know if it's HTTPS or not
Normally:
HTTPS -> secure so you can (but always check the comments)
Http -> check the comments, search the internet to see if the site is a scam, etc.
By the way, when you give the code, it's also partly your fault, why give the code when you haven't even done research on how to use it.
And one more thing, on their site there's a page dedicated to knowing where you can pay by PSC with your eyes closed*

I notice that you don't read very well (nor write correctly either). It's not about whether or not to use PaySafeCard, but about the abuse in the request for documents and in the processing times.
On that note, the day PaySafeCard goes bankrupt, the company will "leave" all its customers and the PIN Codes will become unusable. Could that day have come?

But paysafecard is suspicious in the way it responds to complaints. I wanted to use one for an amount of 50 euros, but after entering the code, they told me I had to contact a representative because my card was blocked. I called them and got their English service (horrible accent) who speaks little French! Surprised that my card was blocked, I asked the representative why. No concrete answer, and they asked me to provide information, including my ID card! I do not want to provide my ID card; I did not use it to purchase the paysafecard because I paid in cash! The information requested is shady... I don’t see how I can proceed... I have lost 50 euros, and to recover it, I have to sell my identity...
To the attention of the Pay Safe Card internet community, refunds are not always issued; it's the law of numbers and the nature of business. Some are satisfied while others profit shamelessly from certain tricks. Therefore, the result when everything else is equal =
To the Customer Service,
After alerting you to a malfunction related to your company and providing all necessary elements to restore access to the account with an expected amount, and after having purchased a credit card without any response or possibility to reopen my account without incident, I give you a week's notice to change your operations. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to report you to the online community, so that everyone can conduct their business in a healthy manner, regarding contractual and tort liability as per Art 1442 Art 11 47 of the Civil Code, which remains a small price to pay for the inconvenience and the trickery, whether intentional or not, as I no longer have access to my account and you are not the only ones failing to adhere to codes of ethics and mutual respect. The sad observation is clearly general, where trust is hardly possible in this recurring mindset in the world of petty scams, which I hope you will not join. I therefore ask you to take the necessary steps to avoid falling into this situation where your employees are not very scrupulous. However, know that the sound and tone of their voices will increasingly fade away in this scenario, and the consequences are generally clear, for there are still honest and decent people to hire in the world of economic intelligence. As for me, I am a business owner.
Sincerely,

I called the phone number 00 800 0729 7233 and chose 2 to unlock
your account.
I unlock my Paysafecard account in 3 minutes.
your account.
I unlock my Paysafecard account in 3 minutes.
I have also been a victim of this scam
Do not buy paysafecard, you will regret it
Let me explain:
After loading a 100 euro coupon onto my paysafecard account, I was informed that my account is blocked for security reasons and the money is therefore unusable.
I was asked to send a copy of my passport and then to answer several questions (place of ticket purchase, types of internet connection...)
I sent all the elements and answered their questions but received no response....
After multiple contacts via email and phone, I always receive the same response: my file has been forwarded to the concerned department but no news...
Annoyed, I called customer service again asking to speak to a manager, and I was told that this person only speaks English, but he has a horrible accent and can't find his words, a colleague having to whisper to him when he gets stuck!
In short, they are buying time thinking that I will eventually give up...
By browsing this topic, I realize that I am not alone and that I have virtually no hope of seeing my money again
I thought this service was reliable and safe, but in fact, it is a gang of crooks who will change their company name as soon as too many scams are exposed...
They win in all cases; new "suckers" discover their service every day because these cards are sold in tobacco shops so it seems honest and serious... but that is not the case STAY AWAY

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it's a well-known company, and they can be easily attacked, but it would be silly if they turned you down saying you didn't fill out a form correctly or weren't clear somewhere, something you might have missed, that would be silly, wouldn't it?
They have big clients, and your 100 unfortunate euros at the moment mean nothing to them, to the point that they often give € to new sign-ups. (A friend received €3 upon registration; back in the day, League of Legends in 2013 had a referral program with Paysafecard giving €10 for each sign-up via League of Legends).
In short... So much evidence showing that only your stupidity allowed you to lose €100, some have over €10,000 in their Paysafecard accounts... I myself have had well over €100, as I said, I've been using this service for YEARS, and it's not new at all.
