Intel Rapid Storage technology problem

Hello,
I uninstalled Intel RST or part thereof (after 2 verifications and disk restoration), I still have the hard drive at the bottom right but with the exclamation mark, and when I try to run it: "IAstorUI has stopped working" I did a system restore but it's the same so I wanted to know how to fix it, please.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.10

That happens to me too, it’s annoying because I sometimes get system crashes… I’ll keep an eye on this thread to see if a response is proposed…

I looked into it and apparently one of the two disks (mirror) is the one that’s eligible for the warranty.

How so? I just bought my PC, so well... It seems odd that one of the disks is already dead..

if it looks like what it did for me, I think because the info came from a IT friend. I have a disk that already “burned out” once shortly after purchase (that happens!). but a second time.. bad luck I guess, yet it’s a good brand (maxtor). As long as it’s under warranty it’s still okay..

But if my disk had burned up I wouldn't be able to see what was on it!

Be careful, your hard drive is working fine; if you can see this message saying the software isn’t working etc., that means your drive is good and not burnt out. If not, it wouldn’t work simply. If you want to use this function, you need to set your hard drive to RAID format in the BIOS main menu under Storage configuration, set it to RAID format. It’s possible your motherboard doesn’t have this format. I had this problem, now it’s resolved. Otherwise I did defragmentation, cleaning, troubleshooting, and everything is back in order. Good configuration.

Hello everybody ^^
For my part I found that Intel RST slowed down the PC. Honestly, might as well not use it. I simply uninstalled it, rebooted Windows, and after about 5 minutes with the session open, Windows (7, yes I’m specifying) found its driver like a champ. A quick restart and the matter was settled.

See you and good luck.

PS: The Intel RST error happened because I had left my PC on; I carry it in my bag and I was rushing, I didn’t have time to shut it down, since I was already late for a meeting, but I think the HDD didn’t like it :(...
