Hello everyone, for the past few days, my PC has been stuck on the Intel logo at startup. Strangely, if I cut the power and hold down the power button on the central unit for about twenty seconds, it restarts. And the next restart is the same, stuck, etc...
What do you think might be going on?

Hello,
I'm replying even though this topic started more than three years ago.
I had the same problem this morning, without any apparent cause.
So I turned off the machine, unplugged it, and held the power button for 30 seconds, but it didn’t change anything with the problem. (Stubborn as I am, I repeated the operation several times, with no success)
Here’s what helped me solve this problem (this solution is mentioned in another thread):
A little DIY is required:
You need to open your computer (making sure to unplug everything first of course ^^).
Inside, there's something called a "jumper" that looks like a watch battery.
You need to remove it and then put it back; this will reset your BIOS to like new. (It's easy to remove, it's a clip system)
Once everything is closed and plugged back in, the machine starts up just fine (at least that was the case for me).
There you go :)

Thank you, your solution worked. I had the same problem and removing the battery reset the BIOS. Thanks again, it's great!
Hello,
it's not weird if it restarts like that, but it's perfectly normal.
What is not normal, however, is that it stays stuck on the BIOS screen as if it no longer detects the hard drive.
On this screen, you need to press a key indicated on the screen to enter the BIOS.
You will see, the BIOS is a very basic menu, look for the "hard drives" line in the boot tab, otherwise, the drive should also appear on the first page.
If you don't understand anything about the BIOS, download and burn to CD:
http://kaella.linux-azur.org/
you will have access to the hard drive to recover data or just see if it works. But you will probably need to configure the BIOS to boot from the CD...
If it's not detected, it's either the cable or the drive itself.
If you decide to send it to an assembler, look online to get an idea of the price of the parts.
