Hello,
We have 2 computers connected in our office (company). One is equipped with Ciel Gestion Commercial but the other one is not.
How can we use Ciel Gestion Commercial on that other computer? Do we need to get a second software license?
Thank you for your help!
Julien
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.9

I believe that online billing solutions are the future.
Using a client-server system is expensive and does not protect against theft or fires.
It is an aberration when you see the price of online billing solutions.
iFacture http://www.ifacture.fr is a good example of online billing and allows me not to have to deal with administrative tasks.

Hello,
Using a network version does not imply the purchase of a server at all. It's one of the workstations (PCs) on which the business management software is installed that acts as a server (which is a "service" that runs only on this machine). It is worth noting that the workstation in question also serves as a client.

Yes, that's true, but it's a solution that also has its drawbacks: the device needs to be turned on, for example, and if it crashes for any reason, you're guaranteed to be disconnected...
Of course, given your expertise, I have no hope of converting you to the virtues of the SaaS model, but acknowledge that in a network model, a server is definitely advisable ;-)

I hear you, but... a server also needs to be up and running, and if it crashes, disconnection is guaranteed as well :)
Let the server that has never crashed cast the first stone at me...
That said, the debate is broad, and my goal is not to convert users to any particular technical or economic model.

Hello,
It is necessary to install a network version of Ciel Gestion commerciale to work from multiple workstations.
If you have a single-user version, you can install it on a second workstation, but the only option to work on both workstations will be to transfer your company file from one workstation to the other. Not practical, not to mention the risk of errors that this entails...

Unless I'm mistaken, using a network version also means buying a server and having the skills to set it up (or paying someone to do it).
You can also opt for an online solution that allows multiple connections without prior installation.
Personally, I use MyFacture (http://www.myfacture.com), but there are others...
