Hello,

I am currently experiencing a problem with launching JDownloader.

In fact, after installing the executable "jdownloader_jdownloader_0.9.579_francais_275252.exe" without difficulty, I am unable to start the program. I receive the following message:
"Unable to access jarfile /the_location_of_the_archive/JDownloader.jar"
I do have the latest update of Java and JDownloader has already worked on this laptop.

Does anyone have any idea where this might be coming from, please?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.5.11

Hello,

"Unable to access jarfile /l_emplacement_de_l_archive/JDownloader.jar" <== first, check that the jar is indeed at the specified location.

If that's the case, run a test with your protections temporarily disabled to see if that's the cause.

It didn't change anything at the time but it's fine!

You were right after all, since when I reinstalled JD directly to the source C:, the Windows firewall notified me that it was blocking the launch of Java (while it didn't notify me before).

Thank you for your intervention and have a good day!

Hello,

I would like to add a comment because Sandul gave me an idea...
I faced the same problem.
So I suggest:
- Move the .jar file to be executed to the root of C: (for example)
- In the command prompt, navigate to C: and run the command "java -jar <file name="">" (without the quotes)
- This starts the execution

Note: if faced with a problem like "'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command," you need to modify the location of java in the Windows environment variable (a quick search in a search engine will show you the step-by-step).</file>
