Hello

First of all, I'm sorry if a topic like this already exists, I couldn't find it.
And I'm also sorry for placing it here if it shouldn't be, I wasn't exactly sure where to put this topic.

Here's my problem: a week ago I dropped my Packard Bell Easynote SL81 laptop (I'm not sure of the exact model).

Since then, the screen stays black at startup, but the indicator lights are on and the fan is running.

I would like to know what the problem is and if there is a solution to this issue without losing any data?

Thank you for responding as soon as possible, it's very important.

First of all, thank you for your quick response.

I already wanted to try this method, but I can't connect a normal external monitor cable. I think I need one from the Packard Bell brand, right?

no, not at all, he needs a monitor with a simple VGA output.

Okay, thanks. Otherwise, could there be another problem besides the screen?

I don't believe it, but to be sure, plug in an external screen and if it works, then it will only be the screen that is faulty.

      Hi,

It’s possible that the motherboard is dead! Mine just failed and probably because of that (thanks to the forums that informed me :p)

If that’s the case, go jump on your PC, there’s nothing else to be done, sorry.
