Hello, I have an issue with my Samsung Digimax A50 camera, which is a few years old. I have no problem taking photos indoors, but as soon as I want to take pictures outside, I encounter a big problem—no image, just a white screen. I have reset it, but nothing works. Can someone help me? Thank you in advance.

I think you need to come to terms with your loss. The problems you're encountering undoubtedly come from an issue with the shutter that has been left open for too long. So, if you take a photo in broad daylight with the same settings as when you're indoors with a flash, the image will be completely overexposed, hence the white.
So, first check (make use of your manual) if there is a setting that has you in portrait or indoor mode when you go outside, or if you can’t change the shutter speed. For example, in a dimly lit place with a flash, we would be around 1/180 seconds. In bright sunlight, we will be between 1/500 and 1/4000 seconds depending on the focal length and weather conditions. So see if you can adjust that.
And if it’s not possible in a mode like sports (where it should take a very fast shutter speed) or manual mode, come to terms with it and buy a new one.
Getting it repaired would cost between 1 and 4 times more than a new one, and the repair could end up being for nothing if the device breaks down again a few weeks or months later, even if it’s not necessarily the same issue.
A compact camera is like an orange Bic razor, it’s disposable now!

Hello, thank you very much for your response. I will try the settings again, and if the problem persists, I will put it away. Thanks again and have a good day.
