Problems with Sony Cybershot Camera Solved/Closed

Question

Hello everyone,
I'm explaining my problem: I've had this device for just over 2 years, the other day I turned it on to take a photo, everything was fine, I turned it off, then a few seconds later I tried to turn it back on but nothing happened. In fact, when I press "power", the little green light turns on for 1 to 2 seconds, then goes off. That's it... If anyone has any advice, although I'm afraid it might be broken... SOLUTION FOUND ON A WEB ASSISTANCE SITE. APPLIED SOLUTION AND
IT WORKS VERY WELL
/TAP VIGOROUSLY IN A CENTERED MANNER ON THE LENS IN CLOSE MODE/
THIS FAILURE WOULD BE DUE TO A SHOCK OR SAND IN THE LENS CYLINDERS.

GOOD EVENING,I also had the same problem, the word access appeared and then it asked me to turn it off and on again. But after several attempts, I had to bring it back twice and they never found the fault, so they replaced it for me.I just acquired the new one today and already the word access reappears during use; I hope it doesn't break down again.

I'm new to the forum. Regarding the "access" issue, I experience it too, with the difference that everything goes back to normal after a few
seconds. It happens when I delete a large number of photos one by one; after about 3 or 4, the word "access" appears. It seems to me that
it corresponds to the access to the memory card. When I delete the photos all at once, it doesn't happen. Maybe reformatting the memory card? Or pressing the "reset" button? The cameras I have are (2) - Sony Cybershot DSC-V1 -----
Request: If by chance a user is ready to throw their DSC-V1 in the trash because it would be broken, think of me, as I have the 3.8cm LCD screen from a broken 'camera, and I would like to replace it. Thank you.

Hello Winter. I also have the same problem as you with my Cyber-shot DSC W15, but nothing, no response, not a light, nada... this just happened to me today. I can’t view the photos I’ve already taken; everything stays black. Is there anything that can be done?

On the Cybershot DSC S80, when the screen remains black, you need to press the button above the menu, a sort of square, and everything will reappear.

Hello, it’s just that the diaphragm doesn’t open anymore, no opening = no light. It can’t be repaired, I had the same issue and at FNAC they told me that my device is dead.

Hello,  So here it is, for the past 2 days I’ve had a big problem with my digital camera (Sony Cyber-shot DSC W300)... I’ve had this camera for 7 months and for the last 2 days when I turn it on I can no longer take pictures or do anything; it shows the USB mode as if I had it connected to the computer to transfer my photos, but that’s obviously not the case. I’ve removed and reinserted the battery, I’ve plugged and unplugged it, tried everything but nothing changes. When I turn it on without it being connected, it still acts like it’s connected to the computer...  What should I do???  I hope you can help me...  Thank you very much for your help!

HELLO. WHEN I ARRIVED WITH MY SONY CYBERSHOT 10.1 MEGAPIXELS, FRIENDS TOLD ME: TROUBLE BEGINS. IT WORKED FOR 15 DAYS. THE DEVICE LET ME DOWN FOR ALL THE HOLIDAY SEASON. THIS HAPPENED 11 MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE. SONY REPAIRED IT ONCE, SAYING THAT IF THE LENS NO LONGER WORKED, IT WAS MY FAULT. I KNOW PERFECTLY WELL THAT I DID NOT DROP THE DEVICE IN THE SAND. THE DEVICE WAS REPAIRED MID-AUGUST, I LEFT FOR 2 MONTHS. IT FAILED AGAIN ON THE FIRST DAY. SO ONCE AGAIN UNUSABLE FOR 2 MONTHS. I TOOK IT BACK TO CARREFOUR, WHO HIDES BEHIND SONY. IN SUMMARY / IF YOU HAVE A SONY CAMERA: IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IT NEAR THE SEA, BECAUSE THE WIND CAUSES SAND TO ENTER THE LENS AND DAMAGES YOUR DEVICE I AM FURIOUS, NOBODY WARNED ME WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT THIS WAS A INDOOR DEVICE THAT COULDN'T HANDLE OUTDOOR USE. Hello everyone, it seems that Sony isn't doing so well... Mine is working very well, except that I didn't have a charger anymore, so I ordered one online. I plugged it in to charge today. Once it was charged, I was all excited to finally turn it on and take photos... unfortunately, when I turn it on, the lens extends, retracts, extends again, and then retracts, getting stuck closed, the diaphragm as well. So everything is black. I tried to open the diaphragm and I got the image, but it says to turn it off and back on again, but since this morning nothing has changed... I'm losing patience... please help me ^^

Hello, I had exactly the same problem. I connected my camera to the PC (USB mode) then I turned it off. After disconnecting... everything works again!!! Good luck to you ;-))
