3 LONG BEEPS at startup of my computer!!

Hello,
when I start my PC, I hear a melody, 3 long beeps, and nothing on the screen!! (too bad it's not a clip :D)
Here’s what I did to get this problem, I removed my RAM stick (to get rid of some dust, you know), I also disconnected the CPU fan (for the same reason), of course I reconnected everything.
Result, the melody. I disconnected/reconnected the RAM and the fan but with no change.
-The question is "is there a solution to my problem"?
-What is this problem, anyway?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, you just have a problem with your memories, check if they're properly positioned... or do a little cleaning of the PC, of your connections.
hoping to have helped you, good luck.

error in the 64k ROM base, check that the BIOS chip is properly inserted in its socket, if you have a clear CMOS jumper, make sure it is in the keep data position, if nothing changes, you need to replace the chip.

No intentional modifications, just some minor clean-ups, defragmentations, etc. to speed up the work (removal of a few recommended files, but that was two weeks ago and it was fine until then).

Thank you.

Good evening
try this address, it has explanations for the motherboard BIPs.

it's better to have one who knows than two who are searching.

Hello, in my opinion your problem is that your CPU fan is not properly checked or clipped.

Hello,

3 continuous repetitive beeps at startup... and no booting...

What can I try?

The battery, the chip, the motherboard??

I find different information, so I don't know...

Thank you for your help.

What is it? A washing machine, a GPS, you surely know that there are plenty of gadgets that beep nowadays, so give the motherboard reference and the model of the BIOS.

Exact ...

This is a custom-built PC

Single processor computer ACPI
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Intel Pentium 4, 2800 MHz (21 x 133)
ASRock GE Pro-M/HT Motherboard SiS 651 chipset
DIMM2: Kingston K512-UDIMM
AMI BIOS (11/04/03)
Is this enough?

Thanks for the help

Did you recently update the BIOS or clear the CMOS?
