Hello, I just installed the game on my PC (Windows XP). The installation went as planned, but when I try to launch the game, a message appears on the screen saying: "unable to prepare display: no compatible 3D card detected. Check that your drivers are compatible with your video card. The Lord of the Rings (tm); The Return of the King (tm) will stop."
But it says on the box that the game is compatible with DirectX 8.1 and later versions. There is even a way to download DirectX 9 from the installation CD.
So I don’t understand why it doesn’t work. I tried downloading version 8.1, but it doesn’t seem to have installed because I still have 9. I then tried downloading NVIDIA GeForce, but apparently it’s incompatible with my graphics card (Intel R 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family).
I’ve never had this kind of problem before.
