Hello.

I just bought a Nintendo DSi and I can’t connect to my Orange Livebox by doing "Search for a network". It finds my Livebox, I go to it but it tells me "The current security settings do not allow you to connect to this access point. To connect you must use advanced settings." and that’s the problem, I don’t know what an advanced setting is...
Can you help me
and I searched on Google I didn’t find anything!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, personally it’s not with a DSi but with the live (box) model just before, and you need to enter the web key but when you put the one given by Orange it doesn’t work because the Livebox is in WAP key mode. You have to go into the box settings to switch the key to web instead of WAP, and afterward it’s fine. If you have PCs on Wi-Fi you’ll need to reconnect and enter the key again. Okay, it’s the same but not on the same network. You should also know that the web key is less secure!! but personally the 3 kids have their DS on Wi-Fi, the Wii, and no more infection or other problems, but you should know!!
Personally I may not know much, but if the little I know can help, well, I’m happy to share it with you!!

Well, I’m going to eat and I’ll explain to you, but if your parents use the Wi-Fi you’ll have to ask them, because they won’t be able to connect to the internet anymore!!!
