Excel disk full error

Hello,

When I make changes to an Excel file on the server and try to save it, I get this error message "disk full," followed by "file not saved."

I want to clarify that the disk is far from being full, and the rights for this user are okay.

When I copy the file locally and save it, there are no issues.

I access it through a network drive, but even when using network favorites... it’s the same.

Any ideas :) ?

Thanks in advance!

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

Despite all the discussions on this subject, I can't seem to solve my problem!

And another Excel file or saving it under a different name, no problem?
Isn't it a rights issue?

Thank you for your response.

The tests I did, copying locally, transferring the sheets from the Excel workbook to another workbook, then copying back to the server = Same error message.

Another test opened my eyes; I logged in with my profile on another computer, and there, no problem...

The problem is therefore on my computer, antivirus scan + anti-malware found nothing...

Clarifications: The problem evolved; at first it was "disk full", followed by "File not saved" when I wanted to save, then it became "Insufficient disk space" when I just wanted to open it, so it wouldn't open anymore, and now when I double-click it, I get the hourglass and it crashes, "Terminate now"...

Locally, still no problem. And when I bring it back locally, I move the sheets to another workbook, I save it and put it back on the server, I can open it again, but I return to "Disk full", "File not saved" when I want to save!

Problem encountered only with fairly large Excel files.

The computer is running XP, and Office 2007, I really don't know where this problem could come from!
