Hello,
I just got an old Afga scanner (snapscan touch) and I would like to get it working on my HP computer running Windows 7. Unfortunately, I don't know much about it...
If someone knew how to do this, it would help me a lot as it would save me from having to buy a new scanner (I have a very tight budget) when this one is brand new.
Thank you for your responses.

Yes, I have one, but it works for Windows 98. I saw on other sites that it can be installed with Windows 7, but I can't do it. I installed ScanWise 2.0.0.9, but when I plug in my scanner and try to launch ScanWise, it says: "Please connect or turn on the scanner"
which I have done! I really don't understand.

Hi
Agfa scanners older than 8 years do not work under Windows 7 or Vista. I have already tested it; the ScanWise 2.0.09 software was not designed for Vista or Seven. The original driver on the CD will install without any issues and will recognize your scanner, but you will have no chance of getting it to work.

Yes, I installed a SnapScan Touch scanner several times with Vista and it works.
You first need to install version 1.10 with the scanner's CD and then install version 2.009, and that's it. The scanner is recognized correctly.
However, I have a new PC running Windows 8 and I haven’t found a solution, even though it is said that what works under Vista works under Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Apparently, it asks me to check if the driver works with an X64 processor whereas before it was X86!
If anyone has any ideas?

try to see what is compatible with win7
I believe xiko46 is right
also try to find a driver on touslesdrivers.com

All hardware that is compatible with Vista will necessarily be compatible with Seven because Seven has integrated Vista drivers, but otherwise what is the model of your scanner? Because I tried with an Agfa SnapScan E50 and it seems to work, so if yours is E20, there's really no need to bother thinking about it.
Well, I have an Afga Snapscan Touch, but I saw on touslesdrivers.com that ScanWise 2.0.0.9 is only compatible with Windows 95/98/98 SE/Me/2000/XP, so for Vista or Seven, it's basically dead.
sais exact, c'est complètement mort car les programmeurs d'Agfa ne vont pas s'ennuyer à refaire le logiciel pour un scanner qui date, désolé pour toi.
