What do you think of McAfee? Need reviews?

I strongly advise against this antivirus and be careful of its salespeople present on all forums!
I just uninstalled McAfee, which completely wrecked my brand new computer! The same viruses kept coming back repeatedly, which shows McAfee's inability to handle the Trojan, for example. Even after deleting the viruses in the browsing interface, I received the same message 5 times within 2 minutes notifying me of a virus that I was constantly deleting... After a while, I had to allow it because it became so annoying...
It's been a week since I emailed customer service... no response... I conclude they don't care...
I had relied on comparative studies and had chosen the antivirus that seemed the best value for money... the evolution of these antiviruses is too fast to rely on them...
I was recommended AVG free... I'll see how that goes...

McAfee is nothing more than a commercial product, it is pre-installed on Windows computers to entice you to purchase it when it expires. Opt for Avast but don't keep this software :/

If you're looking for a powerful antivirus (and please, let's not talk about keygens here), take Antivir Avira Premium 9.0. Even the free version is effective, but with this we have online security and the security of our mailbox.

I have McAfee SecurityCenter and I'm very happy with it. The only complaint is that some "keygens" are recognized as "trojans" and are directly eliminated (so when the occasion arises, you know what you will have to do).
Otherwise, Avast Pro is also effective (less aggressive than McAfee).

McAfee Antivirus Plus was blocking my PC. It took 10 minutes for the interface to appear.
My PC had become very, very slow. I kept it for two days.
I do not recommend it.

McAfee is a real pain just like herpes; it remains embedded in your computer and runs in the background even when you uninstall the program. When you find where the rest of the program hides that launches at startup and you try to delete it, it's impossible. And it automatically reappears when you end the task.

As Jeanlegain said, MacAfee is not well-known enough, so I can't tell you either.

They recommend on the forum Antivir, + AntiMalware and also Spybot, it's very effective and free.

I install this on all the PCs I monitor, and honestly, it runs well.

Spybot, I would even say it's hyper-efficient, it is THE essential software for any PC!!!
