Hello, I used to run Windows XP and my Scrabble 99 was working fine with the Azursoft update. I changed my PC and now I have Windows 7. I can't play anymore!! Can someone help me? I want to stick with the Azursoft game because the Ubisoft ones are much less convenient. Thank you
Configuration: Windows xp mozillafirefox

Hello,
I have Windows 7 and my Scrabble 2005 wasn't working anymore.

I followed the procedure from Ubisoft below:
http://ubisoft-fr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ubisoft_fr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=12017&p_created=1188293321&p_sid=hi1*dZ6k&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_srch=1&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2d3Jpbmdzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MywzJnBfcHJvZHM9ODgsMTI2MiZwX2NhdHM9MTE3NSZwX3B2PTIuMTI2MiZwX2N2PTEuMTE3NSZwX3NlYXJjaF90eXBlPWFuc3dlcnMuc2VhcmNoX25sJnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li=&p_topview=1

And it works!!!!

Hello,

this response only concerns those who have PC Scrabble 99 and want to run it on Win 7 x64.

That's my case. I just followed the instructions given [url=http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-3438041-scrabble99-et-vista#newanswer]here/url and it works perfectly.
I had already searched many places without finding anything, and today, miracle.

Necessary equipment:
Original CD of PC Scrabble 99
XP machine
majpcs99 [url=http://www.azursoft.fr/Majpcs99.exe]***********here***************/url

If you have your original CD and only your win7 x64 machine, you can directly download [url=http://9giga.sfr.fr/n/50-17/share/LNK58434dc6beeb0e587/]***************this*************/url and go directly to step 5.

Procedure:
On XP machine:

1- Install PC 99
2- Update for XP downloadable [url=http://www.azursoft.fr/Majpcs99.exe]************here**********/url
3- Type "regedit" in "Start" "run" to open the registry.
Then go to the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Azursoft ( export it ) and you get a file with the extension "filename.reg"

4- Copy the game installation directory: c:\scrabble.99 and the file "filename.reg" to a medium that can connect to your win7 x64 machine

Then on win7 x64 machine

5- Directly copy your Scrabble.99 directory to c:\ --> c:\scrabble.99
Double click on your "filename.reg" file --> accept to put the new values in your registry and there you go.
Put your PC Scrabble 99 CD in your CD drive and play like on your XP machine!!!!!!!!!

Cool, on the other hand, I didn't even need to copy the registry key.

Hello
on 64-bit with W7, all old software running in 32-bit is obsolete
and many drivers too, some of which will not be updated (my Creative MP3 is 8 years old, it's already too old to be updated!!!)
I bought AMIMO+ online for €14, it's fine

I have exactly the same problem. I had to change my PC, and it was sold to me already installed with Windows 7. I had no choice. Before, I had Windows XP, on which I used Word very often, a Scrabble game, and a tarot game. When I wanted to reinstall them on my new PC..... I was unpleasantly surprised to see them refused!
There must be a solution! We can't buy new hardware and repurchase all the software! We should at least be able to use the software we already own; otherwise, it becomes a real financial burden, and that's not normal!
By the way, are game publishers (like Scrabble and tarot, for example) required to release a new version every time Windows itself changes version? I can't believe it, I've already made a sacrifice to change PCs..... and I'm not in a position to buy new software.
If there really is no solution to install "relatively" old CD-ROMs, we're not heading in the right direction, or is this precisely designed to "boost sales," and in that case, it's shameful!
Thank you very much if you can suggest a solution! Best regards,

Hi,
For my part, I solved the problem by installing a virtual disk with VMWARE and I installed XP 32-bit. And it works well even on the network.

Hello, I have 3 PCs running Windows 7 and I have no problem playing Scrabble 99 as well as Tarot from Micro Application. However, it only works with the 32-bit version; the 64-bit version does not work.
On the other hand, I can't get the network working to play with others at my home. If anyone has the solution, please let me know. Hi everyone.

To respond to blzu, you need to be on 32-bit. If someone can get it to work on 64-bit, I would like to know. Scrabble 99 is the best.

I am on 32 b and I can't get pcs99 to work on the network. Moreover, pcs99 freezes when I go to the dictionary. Have you ever had this problem? Thank you for giving me the steps to follow.

If your Scrabble 99 gets stuck, try a very simple thing: press the space bar to see if it unlocks. And to address the topic of playing online, check if your Scrabble 99 is not being blocked by your firewall.

Thank you, Adrien, for your response. I tried, but it doesn't work; it also gets stuck with Vista or XP as soon as we call the dictionary. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thank you for helping me. Cheers to you.

To start, go get the update for azursoft for majpcs99.exe just like for XP. Then right-click on pcs99.exe in the SCRABBLE.99 directory, go to properties, compatibility, and set it to be compatible with XP Service Pack 2. It’s supposed to work; have a good game.
