Epson Stylus SX515W Error

If you want to remove all the pieces of paper that prevent the SX51XW printer from working, it's simple:

Put the printer in cartridge change position and unplug the power supply. The print head will be movable and you can move it around at your leisure to see the entire tray (where the sheet passes).

If you can't put it in cartridge change position, turn it on and wait for it to try to move the print head. When it does, unplug its power cord. The head will then be movable ....

Paper jams can also come from the protective foam of the tray. This foam can "come loose" (even though it’s not stuck, it’s held in place by clips) and can obstruct the print head. You just need to push it back into place gently.

Please note that the message indicating a paper jam is primarily a generic term that indicates that the print head of the printer cannot move as it should....or that the paper feed mechanism is obstructed by something...

Thank you for your responses. I had the same problem (Epson Stylus SX515) and all I had to do was move the "scanning assembly" (the cube where you change the cartridges for novices like me) to reveal the little piece of paper that was stuck. Press the ON button, and it's all good!

It's a problem with the mechanism due to a jam or something else.
Solution: Turn off the printer, open the cover, roll the white gear to engage the paper feed mechanism until the paper lever makes more than one full turn. This way, even if there's a jam, the paper will be removed. Then turn the printer back on, and you're good to go.
