Hello,
Hi everyone!

I just acquired an LG TV 42LH4000 and learned that I could access the hidden menu to unlock the USB video option. I've tried but I'm not able to do it. Can someone help me?
Best regards.
Configuration: Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8.0

Hello,

many say that you need to press OK on the remote and the screen at the same time for a few seconds and then enter the password 000. Then go to the USB menu and validate DIVX.

Personally, I can't do it. I bought the same TV as you about a week ago and when I try to press OK, it does absolutely nothing.

Thank you Alex for responding to my message. You are the only one. And I see that you have the same issue. It's okay, I have a very good DVD player with a USB output and I will continue as before. Furthermore, it seems that the warranty may be voided if we perform this action, so I will see later. If I have any updates, I will let you know.

Hello everyone.
As for me, I just got the 47LH3000. After many visits to numerous sites, I found a solution that worked. First of all, download the appropriate firmware, "V3.15.00_EU_ALL_0.1.50.97_flash.epk". A search on GOOGLE will show plenty.
On a USB stick, create a directory "LG_DTV" respecting the capitalization. Place the file there.
Connect the USB stick to the LCD, then go to the menu and select the tools menu. Press the FAV button on your remote control 7 times, a menu will appear, start downloading the file. Do not turn off the screen; it takes 1 or 2 minutes. Once done, the menu will disappear and the normal screen will appear. Then, you can simultaneously press OK on the remote and on the screen while holding it. A new menu will appear, go to OPTION 3 and enable JPG, MP3 & DIVX. Then exit and HOP, it's all set.
As I'm writing, my daughter is watching a DIVX on this beautiful screen.
Good luck.
