Issue with LG 42PQ2000: The menu keeps displaying everything.

My LG 42PQ2000 plasma seems to be possessed... Indeed, the menu appears on its own and changes the input source, sometimes it lowers the volume or displays the current source as if the command buttons on the TV were being activated randomly, and this happens repeatedly. We constantly have to keep the remote control in hand to prevent any potential changes or to remove the on-screen menu. I won’t hide the fact that it’s more than annoying, and it’s becoming tedious to watch a movie or anything without getting irritated. This screen was recently given to me, and I’m starting to regret my old cathode-ray TV. Where could this anomaly be coming from? Is it a simple setting issue, and can it be easily remedied?.....

    Hello, it's the same for me. I just bought an LG 47LH3000 and actually, the source menu pops up by itself. At first, I thought it was a problem with my TV, but it turns out it's my remote control that's faulty; I tried it on another LG screen and got the same result. When the player is on standby, as soon as I get close to the remote, it turns on and changes the source. So, I have to quickly change the source and hide the remote. I'm taking my remote back this afternoon; I suggest you do the same!
