How to connect Panasonic NV-GS80 to computer

Hello, I bought a Panasonic NV-GS80 camcorder
unfortunately when I connect my camcorder to the PC (Mini DV cable) my computer does not respond

if anyone can help me solve my problem or has another solution. Thank you 
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    I can't connect my camera to my PC anymore, nor with the memory card.
