My TV changes channels on its own Solved

Question

Hello,
I have a Hisense LCD2003EU TV purchased in 2006.
I have a big problem, my TV changes channels by itself. I removed the batteries from the remote control (a universal remote) to see if it was coming from it, but my TV continues to change channels. It keeps flipping through channels in order 1 2 3 4 ....
I don't know what to do, it’s no longer under warranty.
Can you help me?

And there you go, my TV is flipping through channels on its own again.  I’ve unplugged the cable inside again but it doesn’t change anything.

Hello,
I think I've found the solution to my problem. With a pair of pliers, I pulled the volume + button and blocked it with a matchstick. It no longer makes contact with the inside of the TV.
Since then, it doesn't change channels by itself anymore.
Why that button? I have no idea, just by chance.

I have the same problem and it's very unsettling...
Have you had a death of a loved one recently?
My father, but let's be realistic...
For me, it's a Bluesky that's 5 years old and the problem only appeared 2-3 months ago.
It's not all the time, it's not the remote control, in my opinion it's a part inside, I've also "loosened" the volume and especially the channel change buttons (the ones on the side of the TV).
If anyone has an idea of the problem, it's welcome.
If I find a solution, I'll let you know on this post in this forum.

I have the same problem, my 107cm Bluesky plasma screen changes channels by itself, turns on by itself (sometimes during the night, what a fright!) and turns off by itself too! It's unbearable and stressful, I'm really into a program and suddenly it changes channel or turns off, etc. Please, have you found a solution?

Nowadays, mobile phones (like the Samsung S4, for example) have an infrared emitter.

Moreover, there are applications available to control an infrared device (like your TV) with this type of phone, so it wouldn’t be your neighbor messing with your nerves?

You just need to take apart the back of the TV and give it a good vacuum, but be careful still...
