TV that changes source by itself Solved

Question

Hello,  I am presenting my problem:  I have a 4K Smart TV from Philips, model: 49PUS6031/12  The issue is that it changes video "source" by itself, even after removing the batteries from the remote control.  I have performed several updates on the TV thanks to the Philips support that sent them to me by email. However, nothing works.  Complete reinstallation of the TV software. Hi,  Ask your neighbors if any of them have the same model as yours. Maybe the interference from the remote control is causing your neighbor to change the sources on their TV, which would change yours at the same time.

Hi,  Papounet's theory (which I salute in passing) is not stupid ;-)  If you get along well with your neighbors, you could ask them to come over, each with their remote control, and press all the buttons to see if the TV reacts to any of the actions.  This test would help eliminate or confirm a cause ;-)  There would still be 2 other possible causes, and those would be of a "mechanical" nature.  1) The SOURCE button on the remote control that may be stuck, causing the TV to react: if that's the case, return it to the service center if it’s still under warranty; this model has been on sale since MAY 2016.  2) The SOURCE button on the side control panel of the TV that is stuck, and that’s more "serious" because to fix it, you need to remove the back panel of the TV to unplug the connector from this little control panel: similarly, if the TV is still under warranty, return it to the service center.  I would like to remind you that the mandatory European warranty is 2 years, without complaint; we all know that French retailers always want to impose their policy on customers that the warranty is 1 year with a financial supplement to extend it to 2 years, but that’s false, it’s 2 years imposed and nothing else. Hello,  Thank you for your clear response.  Indeed, I don't get along with them very well, and we did the test.  Neither of their two remote controls makes my TV respond.

Second test, disassembly of the back panel, disconnecting the plug that powers the manual controls directly on the TV. After 10 minutes of operation while disconnecting the controls and removing the batteries from the remote control, the problem reappears.  It is indeed under warranty, 2 years, as stated on the invoice.
