Samsung TV changing channels by itself :(

Question

Hi, I have a bit of a problem with my Samsung TV, it changes channels by itself, or even doesn't want to change channels and my remote control has become unusable.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

Yep, problem solved thanks to another post on this forum. I unplugged the manual controls on the side (it's a small white plug), and now everything's great, my TV works like new.

Hello
check: remote control batteries, if the TV is facing a light source....it can disrupt the infrared reception diode
also check if any of the buttons on the remote are stuck (pressed down)
if none of this solves your problem.....off to customer service
as a last resort....ghostbusters;)

Unfortunately no, but if I turn on the TV every day I have fewer issues with random channel changes, whereas if I don't turn it on for a few days the problem starts again!

Me too, my TV was changing channels by itself. I opened the back cover, unplugged the little white cable that connects the manual controls, and there you go, great, it's working normally again with the remote control.

We eventually left it open-topped; it heats up less, it "bugs" less... not very "secure," but anyway... we're waiting for the sales...
