Hello,

I just bought a Nokia 5530 and I'm looking for a GPS application that would be free to use and compatible with this phone.
I found the Locify application via the OVI Store, I logged into my Nokia account and requested a link to download the application from my phone. I then click on the link in the SMS, it takes me to the OVI Store, but every time I click on "Download" it takes me to the login page, I enter my credentials (which are correct, I'm sure), I confirm, it takes me back to the application presentation page, I click download again, it takes me back to the login page, etc...

In short, it's impossible to download any application at all, can someone help me?

Thanks in advance!
Configuration: Mac OS X Firefox 3.5.5

It needs to be downloaded while connected to a box, otherwise it won't work. The OVI store only works with a WIFI connection. In any case, that's how it is on the Nokia E71.

Hello, I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and when I click to download from the Ovi Store, a message appears saying: "Opening a secure session, no one else will be able to see the content. Continue?
I click yes and a new message appears saying: Web: Page not found, check the address. Can someone help me?

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with my C7. So it's not possible to install an application, I even tried with the link via SMS but that doesn't work either.

I have the same problem but when trying to download games on Nokia 5800 Express Music even though I received the link via SMS from Ovi Store and it tells me server connection impossible, please check your username and password, even though they are correct. Thank you for letting me know if there is a solution to this problem... Sincerely.

Same problem for me, I have a Nokia N8 and I'm struggling to connect to the Ovi Store!!
Their thing is really crap, it makes you want to lose your mind.
Apparently, it's a problem with the operator's connection and you have to connect via Wi-Fi, but what's the point of having an operator then!!!!!

      Hello

I'm sorry, but I have a Nokia E71, a Neuf Box in Wi-Fi, and I'm having the same problem; it doesn't recognize my credentials even though it works on my computer. I tried to create an account again, but it says my phone is invalid.

What should I do? I've contacted Nokia support; I'm waiting.

      Thank you for your advice.

I did it on my Nokia E71, it works well... But I recommend using Wi-Fi because otherwise, you'll eat up your credit!

    Hello,

I am currently using a Nokia Eseries E71
I have a big problem! In all Nokia Eseries E71, there is a folder in the menu called (Downloaded! or Download!)!
I have nothing at all. Here’s what I have in my menu:
    -Communication.
    -Office
    -Journal
    -Connectivity.
    -Tools
    -Multimedia
    -GPS
    -Web
    -Store
    -Help
    -SFR Service

I launch the Store and it tells me: Download OVI store, I download it and everything works wonderfully but I CAN'T FIND OVI STORE ON MY PHONE
Not in any of the folders!
I’m thinking I need to do an update but I don’t know how to do it.
Or if that’s not it, replace my phone

    Please help me

    hello
    nokia n8 orange
to download from ovi store, you need to download the application and create an account on the ovi website and repeat the same operation on the nokia
it works, I have a nokia n8 and I had an e71, for the e71 there is an application where you can find ovi com, I can't remember but it should be in the office
I have never had a problem, no need for wifi, an orange sfr wap account is the same
    thank you vanhool

@ dav38985 Often changing the phone's date to an earlier date, closer to the release date of the application you want to install, resolves certificate date issues.

Furthermore, I advise you to check out this tip
      http://www.blog-n8.fr/
which allows you to download applications to your PC from the OVI Store.
Then you can install them with Nokia suites whenever you want from the PC. This also helps to avoid the GSM operator and unnecessary 3G consumption.

I also advise you to check
      http://forum.dailymobile.se/index.php?topic=21067.0
which explains how to modify files with the .sis.dm extension (downloaded from the OviStore using the method from the previous message) and make them work. This only applies to those files and not to files with the .sys extension.

You need to enter the connection parameters: IP
, subnet mask, gateway IP, DNS in the properties of the new connection.
I have a Nokia X6, no valid manual or tutorials since it's a new phone, it's awesome, and I managed to connect to my Freebox after searching like crazy. The guys from SFR incompetently told me to call Nokia, anyway, I figured it out and everything is fine.
I can connect to my Wi-Fi (WLAN) and to my full internet as I choose.
You just need to set it up manually if you have disabled the DHCP on your box, and I think manual is better.
However, I have a problem with Nokia Ovi Suite; it cannot connect my phone to the application, so I can't configure my contacts, etc....
Anyway, I can use mass storage fortunately.

    Hello everyone,
After contacting Orange customer service, who directed me to Nokia support that I've called dozens of times...
I also contacted Nokia support by email...
After trying every possible and imaginable manipulation... (on N8)

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DOWNLOAD APPLICATIONS FROM OVI STORE BECAUSE THE OPERATOR BLOCKS THE DOWNLOAD

This applies to Orange and SFR. The only solution is to unlock your phone.
If, like me, you have just purchased it, you must wait 6 months or have it done in a store at your own risk (loss of phone warranty)

Operators block for legal reasons but no one tells you, I made dozens of phone calls before I found out.

    SPREAD THE WORD.

As for me, I will write to customer service but I remain very pessimistic.

    Hello

I can't download it, it says preparing the installation and installing Ovi Store, I click yes then continue, and it shows "validating the certificate" in progress, and it says "certificate validation failed." Please check the settings.
