Hello, I'm playing SimCity Creator DS and I have a problem, I'm currently in climate warming and I'm really stuck. I have about 25% of my map as large park, I set my taxes to 2% but it's still not enough. My research budget is at 200% but I stay at just 7%. Please help me.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.15

try to set taxes to 0% you're going to tell me yeah but i could have money dont worry you dont type moneybags in uppercase and in a corner some industrial zones and around 110,000 inhabitants if you put the research budget at 200% you will have a nuclear power plant
to tell you i have almost finished this era i am at 73% with 373,572 inhabitants i am blocked because i can't build skyscrapers -
this morning i just finished the game there are 2 possibilities for global warming
1 the one i told you about but i did not succeed
2 around the 20XXs replace the nuclear power plants with coal plants
it's going to start polluting everything and the teacher sims will tell you that there is a lot of pollution and he will ask if you want to go see the future of your city the future is really nice but there are only 15 buildings to unlock i would have thought there would be many as with global warming
for me the future has been messed up it is very easy
see you later -
I just finished climate change and jumped into the future. I had already tried to pollute (it was red everywhere) and it didn't work.
But anyway, here is how I made my map. The best to start, I think, is to depollute the map at the beginning of the warming with MONEYBAGS, that's not a problem. This is to have terrains of maximum value.
I made blocks of streets 6 by 6 everywhere. Except in the middle of my map where I split it into a cross by making 2 crossed rows of 9 by 6.
I placed the Port at the top of the map, I positioned the industries on each side. I had less than a quarter of the map.
In my cross of 9 by 6, I ran a railroad line. That gave me the equivalent of 4 quarters divided into blocks of 6 by 6. It’s easier to manage quarters than the whole map at once. It’s the best way I’ve found to date to get the maximum number of Sims and spaces of high value. The advantage with the 6 by 6 streets is that the space is really maximized.
I did a few tests to see what worked best in terms of commercial placement (in a U shape in one quarter, from bottom to top in another, and rather grouped in the middle in another, the other from left to right). Everything worked, but the most important is the large park.
For one quarter I needed about ten blocks of 6 by 6 of commercial that I grouped one way or another (for example from left to right in the middle of a quarter, surrounded by large parks, like a green belt between commercial and residential, at no time did residential touch a commercial. The value of the land quickly became maximum.
I also got the giant tree. At one point they suggested turning it into a museum and I said no the first time. Later I changed my mind, I thought about clicking on the question mark and they offered to transform it again, I was happy, but I have no idea to what extent the giant tree affects going into the future or not.
Well, with the 6 by 6 grid for the streets, it was really child’s play to increase the number of Sims to 500,000, after reaching 100%, my population continued rising to over 750,000.
How my city was before I jumped into the future.
Population over 500,000
100% reached
The value of land was mostly maximum value (My map was HD-zoned at least 90%. The rest were schools, universities, basically what Sims need to be happy)
Giant tree (I had it, transformed into a museum)
Research budget (for me a lot, installing all the laboratories and other discoveries.
Pollution: To attempt the leap into the future when I thought the right moment, I replaced zoos, other stadiums and a few parks with coal-fired power plants. That did the job.
But I also think that it’s necessary for as much of the map as possible to be filled with HD and that there is no more greenery. None. -
It is not necessary to place parks in the same spots. They should be scattered, and you should include pumping stations (with a water plan, of course) and create residential zones of 3 by 3 tiles to have housing buildings. Also include buildings that Sims like (schools and hospitals).
