Hello,
I'm posting this message to see if others have this problem and if some have already solved it:
I've had several in-ear headphones (the ones you can insert inside your ear) and I must say the sound is often delightful. But every time, after about 2 or 3 months of use, one of the earbuds decreases in volume, and sometimes it even stops working. The stereo then becomes terrible!
This has already happened to a friend of mine, and I feel like it's typical for this kind of headphones...

I found the solution to the problem, by the way. To fix the faulty earbud, you need to remove the small cover in front of the speakers (if it’s glued, tear it off with a cut on the other side, but do this neatly if you want to be able to replace it). Once the transducer is clearly visible, just blow into it hard. Then put the cover back on, replace the in-ear tip, and everything is O.K.!
I have repaired 3 pairs of headphones with this technique, and the problem hasn’t reappeared.
So, thank you all for your responses.

I obviously tried this solution, which works well. However, I took it a step further. I actually removed the small grids (3mm in diameter) with needles, then I dipped these in a small teaspoon of solvent, I let them sit for five minutes, then I pierced a sewing needle into the grid and lit it with a lighter; the flame cleaned everything and my grids are spotless. I replaced them on my Sennheiser CX300 headset and I now have very good sound quality again. I hope I’ve contributed something extra.
