Hello,
I have had my PSP for almost a year now, but recently it has been really bugging out. It has become super slow; navigating through the menus and starting a game takes forever, but strangely once the game is started, it goes back to normal, then becomes very slow again when I exit the game. Can someone help me? I'm really struggling. (I tried resetting it but without success)
Thank you

ok I see your issue (I don't have the PSP in front of me)
-well turn on your PSP, once it's on press "select" (normally a secret menu should appear on the screen, if nothing happens let me know)
-(I think there's psp clock and psp clock game) you will set both to default
I think it's PSP clock that's not set to default, so set it back to default!
-and press select again -
OK, if you update, you risk switching to the official firmware, and you'll lose the benefits of your firmware like playing games without the UMD, the ability to copy UMDs, etc.
But it's up to you to decide!!! If you have any other questions, send me a message
and you can already change the status to (resolved). -
SUPER GREAT IT WORKS
you're totally killing it, I did what you did, actually it was on "psp clock game" by default, so I set it to "psp clock XMB" by default and it started working fine again
thank you so much, I was struggling for 3 months.
Do you think I should get an update? (I'm actually a newbie in video games, I hadn't touched it since middle school)
thanks again -
Good evening!
Tell me, you wouldn't have cracked your PSP by any chance??? -
Good evening, if my PSP is hacked
it has been since the first day, it was the store that hacked it when I bought it almost a year ago.
do you have any information to help me get out of this please?
thank you -
There's no problem, Naim. If we can help each other, that's great; it's a big advantage of the web. When I think that I almost brought my PSP to get it repaired, it would have cost me more than the PSP for a problem that was solved in 2 minutes.

Hi everyone,
Actually, my PSP has become super slow to start up for some time now, and it's impossible for me to play normally when I launch games.
Could someone help me resolve this issue?
Thank you
