    Hello,
Go to: C:\program files\windows live\contacts, right-click on wlcomm.exe, choose run as administrator and confirm, then properties, compatibility, check: run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows Server 2003 (Service Pack 1).

Uninstall Messenger using Windows Clean Up. After installation, go to Start, All Programs, right-click on Windows Clean Up, choose Run as Administrator and continue..., locate everything related to Messenger, Windows Live, etc. select one at a time and remove. Restart, right-click on CCleaner (as Administrator), launch it for a cleanup (don't forget to uncheck Yahoo Toolbar during the installation) and reinstall Messenger.

Thank you ekim55, I didn’t exactly do as you told me, I just started clean up for a cleanup and during the cleanup I made a mistake and exited clean up and now msn works.
I don’t understand anything anymore but that's good it works. Thanks again.

      I didn't mean to be unpleasant -o-'' .
Actually, I don't know how to use CleanUp, I looked at some tutorials but it doesn't change anything.

You need to look for these programs --> messenger, windows messenger, windows live, windows live messenger, etc... if they are present, select one at a time and click on remove. Do the same until these programs are no longer there. Check this tutorial --> http://web3004.forumperso.com/tuto-logiciels-f5/windows-installer-cleanup-tuto-t44.htm

      Thank you :)

I'm going to bother you one last time ..
How do you select the file on CleanUp?

Sorry again, I'm slow to catch on!

Go to Start, All Programs, find Windows Installer Cleanup and run it. For Vista, right-click on Windows Installer Cleanup, choose Run as Administrator and confirm..., then launch it.
Everything is well explained in the tutorial.
