Compress a photo to 2MB

Hello,
I consulted the paragraph regarding this issue but I can't compress my image to 2MB either in Paint or in another software. I can only manage to compress it to a maximum of 20KB? What should I do to compress a photo to 2MB?

    Whoa, I think you're getting off track.
    1) Compress = decrease
    2) Kb is CLEARLY smaller than Mb
    So I don't understand the question.

    OK, actually I want to insert an image on a site where the size of the photo must not exceed 2 MB, and my photo is smaller since it is about 50 KB, but when I try to insert it, it fails, so I don't understand...

    There is surely a problem somewhere because 50Ko is much, much lighter than 2Mo (2Mo = 20,000Ko, approximately)

    .gif .jpeg .png other ????

    Maybe the extension of your image is not allowed on the site in question?

    I haven't solved the problem, there is probably an insertion error on the site. I've tried everything, including different photo formats, but nothing works!!! I'll try again tomorrow... and keep you updated!!!
