1 GB equals approximately how many photos?

Hello, I'm going to Rome for 4 days, so I would like to take a lot of photos and the only card I have is a regular 1GB SD card. I would like to know how many I can take with this card in addition to my Canon Digital IXUS 8015 camera?
P.S.: Please respond to me as quickly as possible; I'm leaving on Thursday.
Thank you in advance.

It all depends on the resolution of your photos, but on average, a standard photo is between 2 and 4 MB. For 1 GB, you can do the math knowing that
1 GB = 1,000 MB.

Let's not take any risks, and assume that your photos are 4MB, you will be able to make:

1024/4 = ???

I'll let you do the calculation.

Good evening...

Your card is 1000 megabytes, each photo requires 4 megabytes >>>> you can take 1000/4 = 250 photos.... that's "roughly" if you set your resolution to 4 megabytes... if you set it to 2 megabytes, you can take double...

Best regards,

Well, it should be explained in the instructions for your device....

In the menu of your device, by searching, you can change the resolution. Dig a bit, curiosity opens countless doors.

Best regards.

Yes, I'm sorry, it's just because I don't have the manual for my device that I'm asking you!

The initial question didn't imply that!
Go to the manufacturer's website or
www.mes-notices.com
but while browsing through menus and submenus, you should find...

See you later
