Well, there you go, it's all in the topic.
Friends are telling me to install Supercopier to speed up data transfer, can someone explain how the software works? Does it use the same protocol as Windows to transfer files, right? Why is it faster then? I don't really get it.

Exactly the same response, no difference in duration, the only difference is that Supercopier is more convenient for copying many files and for having a serious estimate of the remaining time. In fact, it's just a better graphical interface for the Windows copy function than the pre-installed version.

I measured the time to copy a DivX using Windows' utility and with SuperCopier, and it turned out that SuperCopier significantly improves transfer speed. In this case, for 700 MB, the time saved is about 2-3 seconds.

I think that the speed always remains the same because it depends on the speed of your hard drive and not on super copier.
Unfortunately, it’s normal that the development of SuperCopier has been abandoned for a few years and it is no longer supported under Vista.
However, in terms of performance, I am FOR SuperCopier. It is much more complete and faster than the built-in Windows copier (even that of Vista, unfortunately we can no longer replace it).
SuperCopier allows you to pause, throttle transfers, add files to the copy list... and above all, it uses much fewer resources, and for network transfers, there is no doubt about the improvement in transfer speed!
This utility remains indispensable even today.

Is there really no way to replace the Vista copier (which seems to take ages to start, often only gives you the transfer time at the end, etc... how can Windows still dare to offer such a user-unfriendly software when a program like SuperCopier has been around for a long time now!) with SuperCopier?
Thanks in advance for helping me avoid headaches every time I transfer a small file to or from a USB drive to my PC.

Buy RAM? That's not going to make your hard drive write faster... A bit of logic, really; no matter how hard you press the gas pedal, if your engine can only go up to 150, you won't go any faster...
In your logic, is there also "buy RAM, you'll burn DVDs faster!"? :-)

supercopy is a comprehensive, ultra-fast copying software, and it's even faster than teracopy. I recommend it to you as your friends have suggested. Best of luck!
Buy an SSD, you will copy much faster (~250MB/s), however the bill is substantial, at least €130 for a 60GB Vertex 2.

Hello,
Since I installed SuperCopier on my PC (with Vista), I can't run it.
When I try, it gives me this message: "SuperCopier could not attach to the processes, this is normal
If you have launched it multiple times.
Error message: attachment to the processor failed: global attachment
only works on an account with administrator privileges."
