Is Photopad really free?

Hello,
On the CCM website, I found the photo editing software for beginners, a free version of PhotoPad.
I downloaded it, and as soon as I edited and modified my first photo, when I tried to save it, I received the message "Do you want to buy it now?"
So, before continuing on this site, I would like to know if a free version of PhotoPad really exists? Or if the information on CCM is false?

    The link to the NCH Software editor corresponding to the screenshot is blocked by the CCM robot.
