Hello everyone,
So here it is, I've been using SuperCopier on my PCs for a long time, but I must admit (finally) that it really doesn't work well on my laptop.
I should mention that it was a different version than the one I had on the other PCs, a newer one (simply because I got this laptop later), version 4.0.1.13, but I don't know if that's related.
All I can say is that it consumes a lot of RAM. Sometimes it goes beyond 70%, and I sometimes experience lags with the mouse, that's saying something. Moreover, the transfer speeds are completely random and it can take a lot of time. It can vary from minimum to maximum, but it's rarely consistent.
The advantage of SuperCopier for me was mainly being able to pause a file copying and to add/delete files to copy in a list. Except that even there, generally it practically freezes when I want to display the list, so I wait a moment while trying not to touch anything too much, for fear of crashing the software and the copy.
I've never had this kind of issue with SuperCopier on my other PCs (Windows 7 64-bit on all PCs), but as mentioned, it was an earlier version.
I've also tried copying without SuperCopier, meaning just using Windows, and there the RAM usage hardly changes, the transfer speed is consistent, almost at the max, it's perfect.
I always thought it was my drives, but after a while I couldn't deny it any longer, there is a problem with SuperCopier. And since copying with Windows works, that's clear.
So does anyone know what this might be due to and how to fix the problem, please?
Thank you in advance for your help :-)

But I don't really see what you mean by too high, because logically my PC should be powerful enough, especially for file copying. I don't quite understand what kind of incompatibility there could be with my computer :-/
