AVAST firewall is blocking my printer

Hello,
The AVAST firewall is blocking my printer. After uninstalling NORTON and downloading AVAST,
my printer is blocked and apparently a message indicates that it might be the firewall blocking it.
What should I do?
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello,
    Avast doesn't have a firewall, it's just an antivirus.

      thank you for your quick reply, here is my problem:

      My internet connection being blocked, an Orange technician had me uninstall NORTON and installed MOZILLA FIREBOX AND AVAST.
      He told me that MOZILLA was a firewall: is that true?
      If not, how to unlock my printer on the Windows firewall

        Mozilla Firefox is a browser just like Internet Explorer.
        What exact Norton version did you have?

        By disabling Windows Firewall, the printer still doesn’t work.
        I don’t remember the Norton version, maybe version 6.0
