Hello,
So here it is, I would like to flash the BIOS of my motherboard, a Fujitsu Siemens D1331 (according to CPU Z) to benefit from the 2.53 GHz of my processor currently limited to 1.9 GHz by the motherboard.
However, when I go to the Fujitsu support site and download the BIOS file, I only get an .exe file named "FTS_FLASHBIOSUPDATEDISKD1331V406R1031331_406103_26305.EXE" which is a WinImage Self Extractor file. I unpack it with Winrar and obtain a .BIM file named "DISK.BIM".
But I have no idea what to do with it! It is not bootable!
I found the BIOS flashing utility under Windows, but it only accepts BUP, OMF, and OCF files.
I would like to avoid flashing it under Windows if possible. As a precaution, I have backed up the current BIOS (in BUP format).
I am desperate, I would finally like to enjoy my processor at its full potential!
Thank you in advance for your responses.
