Hello everyone,

I have a Packard Bell easynote MX36-U-39W laptop
and I learned that there is a BIOS update available (on the Packard Bell website).

I'm hesitant to do it, I'm wary of anything related to the BIOS.
I would like to know if anyone has done this update, and what the observed effects were
(computation speed, ....).

Thanks in advance,
Romain.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, the response... A newbie is asking "how" to flash their BIOS with the recommended update for their computer, and they're being told no, no, no!!! Don't do that!!! Or you really need to know what you're doing... If you’re clueless, don’t do it! And then they tell them, among other things, to "overclock" … (too bad there are no smileys, otherwise I would have put a big HA HA HA)

Yes, you can go ahead and install your update!!!
As long as you got your update through the Packard Bell website, you are already assured that it corresponds to your machine. And if they’ve put this update online, it’s definitely necessary!
Now, as for whether this will solve your speed problems, I won't make any promises...
In any case, I guarantee it won't do any more harm.
The precautions to take are in choosing the update (make sure it's the right update (For Packard, no problem)) and in the installation.
During the latter step, you must absolutely avoid turning off the computer and make sure there is no power outage.
For my part, I’ve already flashed quite a few PCs (all Packard Bell) and everything has always gone very well.
Best regards.
