Toshiba P10 camcorder won't turn on

Hello,

Since yesterday, I have a problem. My Toshiba P10 Camcorder/Camera won't turn on even after charging all night. It was warm when I picked it up this morning, the diode was still red and it wouldn't turn on. I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it reads 3.6 volts. What is the problem, are there any solutions?

    Voltage means something, but what it indicates is that your battery is still good is the amperage. Does your voltmeter support that unit?

    I can't see the amperage unless I create a circuit with the battery. And I'm a bit lazy, even though it's just two or three wires to connect, but oh well ^^
